@@PacificFront 2 hari yg lalu indonesia telah mengaktifkan kontrak 18 jet rafale terakhir, dengan begitu safran prancis telah resmi mengaktifkan produksi sejumlah 42 rafale jet.. Yg ada kemungkinan kedepannya akan melanjutkan kontrak untuk rafale f4r terbaru di tahun 2030

the satellite is still in a planned stage tho.. we still know nothing about how it will look like, the size, and such..

I hope they will only use the Mirage for training and as a stopgap measure then sell them on to India. As it is a strain on logistics and a lot of money is wasted that could have been better used for FA-50 or Rafale acquisition. Or for maintenance on the already available aircraft as some are in a state of disrepair.
But the rest of the equipment is good and will improve the capabilities of the Indonesian armed forces.

From the insider I know it looks like mirage will be cancelled to make way for the military satellite.. I think this is a better investment.. but the aew program might get delayed as well.. will see.. if we hear the official announcement of the satellite, that means no mirage and a delayed aew aircraft..

Setuju.. saat ini kta masih kalah di segi kuantitas.. sampai saat ini kta memang punya bbrp alutsista yg termasuk canggih dkelas nya.. tpi jumlah nya masih sangat minim utk menjaga teritori Indonesia yg sangat luas ini.. tentu ini harapan kta smua utk ada pemerataan alutsista di setiap ksatuan dri Sabang sampe Merauke..
Rencana utk itu smua sbner nya ada.. hanya sayang nya realisasi nya utk saat ini yg blm ksmpean.. 😅

yes.. and there's discussion for more Super Hercules too, the air force chief said that.. 6 or 7 should be fine.. don't have to be brand new.. I think if the UK still offering their used planes, I'm gladly accept it..
I agree.. the purchase is too small and we even not replacing it on one for one basis.. we currently still have around 10-11 obsolete minesweepers, to clear our sea lanes of communication from mines and drones in the potential conflict in the region, we need to ramp up our mcm vessels..

@@PacificFront The Germans can build excellent minehunters, I'm sure there will be new orders after these two units. In Poland we have two mine countermeasures squadrons, one is equipped with 3 new minehunters, the other is equipped with small minesweepers built in Poland. Construction of another minehunter has begun and two more are planned.

Like Indonesia the greatest challenge of the the philippines is its archipalgic features that why interlink or connectivity is the solution.. Construction of a super bridge to connect MaPhilIndo make this countries a super growth areas.. The total solution for the Chinas action to south china sea is the cooperation among asean member countries. Cooperation for the original members including singapore is essential to long term growth of the region.

Indonesia should buy military equipment such as tanks, take boards, ships, panzers, preferably those with satellite GPS guidance, this is an example that can be seen in the wars in Ukraine and Gaza
the plan for that is already set.. now the only matter is the funding.. because not all acquisition program can be funded in one year so the govt must make priority.. and next year is also an election year which can make the whole plans got more complicated..
For tanks and panzers, I don't think it's a good idea, Indonesia should focus on naval and air equipment.
Due to the logistic hell it would be to move let say M1 Abrams from java to papua. But, having a good battleship and transport ship would help alot
