This is a step in the right direction, but when you have a powerful enemy fleet against you, the most important things are sea mines, coastal anti-ship missiles and, of course, submarines.
@@JanKowalski-he3gh it's a long term process.. we all know the PN can't modernize their fleet that quickly.. it will takes decades.. but with careful planning and budgeting, I think they will reach their goal.. the PN still have 6 OPV acquisition ongoing as well..
in the meantime, US help is still needed..

There is no cheaper means against a stronger enemy fleet than sea mines.
Such potential can be built very quickly.
The second cheapest option is coastal anti-ship missile launchers.
The costs are also very low, and the potential can be built quickly.
The third pillar that takes a long time to build is submarines.
Seemingly expensive, but it's not true.
The cost of building a surface fleet that can actually threaten a stronger enemy will always be higher.
India currently delivered 3 batteries of supersonic cruise missiles for anti-ships and they are planning to add 5 more batteries for the ph army. The revised afp modernization focuses on buying more missile systems,wardships and fighter aircraft.

Miguel Malvar has 3 big guns to fight with the 76 mm at front, 35mm CIWS for anti-air, and 30mm secondary cannon.. moreover she also has 8 anti-ship missile, while Pohang class doesn't.. 😁
Ang layo ng pohang class corvette sa bagong corvette na yan. Quadruple na ang anti-ships missile niyan, may ciws pa at vls for short distance air defence sana dagdagan ang vls para sa AAW at ACW
@@Jcc1roar that's true.. Pohang class is primarily for ASW.. meanwhile Miguel Malvar is a multi-role..
Cuma butuh satu tahun sudah jadi, meanwhile FMP udah mau setahun juga masih belum kelihatan progres nya
FMP kan emang baru lunas beberapa waktu yg lalu kalo belum lunas babcock juga gak akan ngasih desain atau blue print penting nya ke PT. PAL, terlebih Indonesia juga ngubah desain awal yg babcock udah kasih jadi harus di kaji ulang juga sama babcock karena kalo sampe kapal jadi dan cacat desain pasti babcock juga yg bakal jelek namanya. Dan FMP juga beda dengan kapal filipin ini FMP itu kapal Kombatan kelas berat desain juga lebih rumit. Proyek nya Polandia juga sama kok sama2 ngambil desain AH140, dan progres nya sama dengan FMP kalo liat di jadwalnya.
HHI udh punya semua tools nya utk bikin kapal desain mereka sndiri soal nya.. itu juga yg mempercepat konstruksi.. sedangkan FMP kategori nya udh kelas berat, trus PAL baru pertama kali ini bangun kapal perang segede ini.. jdi wajar sih klo butuh waktu lebih lama..

I haven't get a clear picture of the frigate itself.. but there are 2 possibility that I can think of for your question..
1. the search radar will be installed later on during outfitting..
2. the search radar is not put on top of the system but on the ship itself..
Yung Radar ay nasa Ship na dahil Naval version to hindi Mobile or truck

Yg paling revolusioner dari kapal PPA terletak pada teknologi Naval kokpit, dimana mengaplikasikan teknologi kokpit pesawat terbang pada kapal perang dg teknologi ini tak perlu banyak crew di anjungan kapal yg bisanya 8-9 crew dg teknologi Naval kokpit hanya perlu 3-4 crew saja.dg sedikit jumlah crew berarti biaya operasional bisa lebih ditekan
