seems interesting this khau gully. in Sindhi it is called Khicha which is served with daal rice. love the way it swells when fred in hot oil and crunchiness is amazing

When it comes to Veg food in Mumbai, Ghatkopar has so many varieties and certainly it’s one of the best. But your visit is incomplete if you didn’t not tasted famous Jini Dosa which came from Ghatkopar, gola from Pooja gola and the roller coaster ice cream.

Ghatkopar is well known for its pav bhaji joints, South Indian restaurants and Gujarati food and snacks shops that serve much better food than this khau galli.

Remember stick golas, red colour, kala khatta etc. All the colourful bottles were quite intriguing then. And all these sellers used to stand in line outside my Khar school which I wasn't allowed to eat, but then, I sneakily managed some of these items which were sold for 20/50 Paisa, this is in 80's.

Hi Prachi!! I forgot to tell you last time - You look gorgeous.
Prachi & Mohit this guy who served dabeli is not a guju though Ghatkopar & Mulund are dominated by gujus very handful of food joints are operated by gujus I have been there hence I can say it very confidently.
If you both really want to eat authentic dabeli then Borivali west outside Indraprasth Mall remember the taste of dabeli that you had in Ghatkopar & then eat dabeli outside Indraprasth mall compare both taste, (maybe you will not be able to say on camera haahah) I bet you will regret eating in Ghatkopar because the way that guy prepared it is wrong way. There's small khau gali in Charkop too I will try to get address for you, Kandivali (Mahavir nagar) got covered by Kunal sir.
Just outside Kandivali west station is nice place though it is not khau gali.
Have you guys been to Malad mindspace? If no then you should be if you had been there you would not have gone to Ghatkopar. Malad mindspace khaugali starts from backside of Inorbit mall, Hypercity mall lane, Komotel Hotel, chincholi bundar rd, then go to Infiniti Mall (Malad), Interface buldg, IIGMA tower lane. Oh yes I forgot Sabhkuch (owned & managed by a Guju) just little before Inorbit mall.
Do you guys know Churchgate khau gali? Come out from dadar side exit gate (if you guys travel by local) go towards Sanmukhda hall (I hope I got name correct) go straight on that road & you will see big khau gali from that road you can go to fashion street. This khau gali is good too some amazing pav bhajis.
Have you guys visited Sardar pav bhaji? I have heard it is over rated Tardeo.
Prachi & Mohit I have given you list of several food joints where you should shoot next. I think next time you guys should invite me no problem I will pay. Preferably on weekends.

Ghatkopar, Wadala, Mulund West are Kutchi areas of Mumbai where Dabeli was sold before it was available at Baroda, Ahmedabad or Surat 2:33 . Ghatkopar khau Galli has a place which sells Akhari Pasta which is basically pasta with soya sauce in Chinese style 😂3:50 Most of the Gola making machines are from Rajkot. But in Ghatkopar one eats the Malai Gola
