    Welcome to India, Nicole :)
About that "Paan" bite - well, it's not "eatable". It's "chewable" :) You just slide it in gently (whole, no less) and let it sit there for a while. While all the ingredient there mixes slowly with your saliva, it leaves a tingling sweet taste in your mouth, not to mention the fragrances along with it. But you just need to let it sit in your mouth for a while (like 10-15 minutes) for that magic to begin :)
Oh BTW, how do you say your name? Is it like "Knee cola" or "Knee coal"?
