    ABOUT LAW & ORDER SVU
As acting Commander of the SVU, Sergeant Olivia Benson is a seasoned veteran of the unit who has seen it all. She leads with empathy and professionalism, all the while dealing with her difficult past - as a product of rape and a witness to her mother's grief, she can personally relate to each victim she tries to help. Joining her are Det. Odafin “Fin” Tutuola who adds a unique sense of humor and undercover investigative experience. Det. Amanda Rollins has earned her place as an integral part of the team while facing head-on the emotional toll it takes to work SVU, and Det. Dominick “Sonny” Carisi brings a fresh outlook and distinctive style of investigation to the squad.

Ever since Hargitay took over as the producer, they may as well change the name to; SPECIAL BENSON UNIT. Don't get me wrong, she is good in her role, but it seems more Benson centric now. It used to be spread out equally with back stories for the entire cast, Cragan's alcoholism, Stabler's anger and family issues, Tutuola's son being gay and Fin fully accepting him. Now, its all Liv and Noah all the time. Break it up a little. Share the spotlight, Mariska, it doesn't hurt.

This episode had a wow factor, but there were huge plot holes, over-edits, or something...
1/ why was the mother needed when the defense was about to put this away
2/ why was Tianna back at the apartment when she was escorted back to the ACA...and no one bothered to ask
3/ how did Malik know she was at the apartment

SParkApCider I thinks the mother was needed to show a pattern. When you have pimper out your own mother, doing the same to your sister isn't that big of a step.
The girl had told Olivia earlier in the episode that she would run away. Which she then did to go see his trial. I guess we can assume that she run away again

    @nowankersallowed2115 Před 4 lety +9

The thing I always enjoyed about SVU is that it showed the complicated details of a situation.
It's not always cut and dry.
This is yet though another example of why the family unit with a father and mother in healthy relationship is important.
    Why loving self is important.
How easily people can get themselves into situations they never would have imagined possible nor wanted for their own children.
Drugs do change a persons motivation I don't care what anyone says. The lengths they can go to for a fix, or the trouble they can get themselves into because of either owing money for what they had on tick, or for a drug deal gone bad.
It is an issue that can be within any class of people.
Do they really want the cycles to continue?
If you ask any addict of anything.. not just drugs.. it's a whole mind, emotional and physical turbulence.. which then affects the personality and spirit within.
Why has this become such an epidemic?
Look at the current coronavirus and people are shaken.. yet look at the number of lives lost then compare that with the overdose or murders with drug use circles...
    How do they compare?
Why is it that people are forced to live in fear when it comes to this particular issue?
How much of prostitution, rape, murders, burglary even kidnapping can be attributed to or interconnected with drug use?
This has been shown to be issues since the 80s and dirty harry movies at least.. yet if people are honest it goes much further back.
Why in 2020 is this still an issue and yet because we have faster internet speeds and greater technology we are supposed to believe we have somehow furthered humanity??

When they talk about women or young girls acting out sexually while I do understand it.. and it can be damaging.. both to themselves or others because the truth is younger women going through puberty with all those hormones running through their body can be full of the desire for attention.. so desperate to grow up and feel like an adult.. not wanting to be treated like a child.. learning the power of attraction possibly becoming intoxicated from it.. but younger women are often also prone to having fantasies and having crushes.. that are not based within reality. They can be easily influenced by the male. They can also do everything and anything it takes to get a mans attention. Feelings are often already in a confusable state or easily hurt if dismissed. I understand men can abuse this situation.. however it needs to be HONESTLY addressed that the female in question or the young man in question can be the actual issue. Especially if from a broken home or someone who has issues with their parents and is in the natural rebellious age as it is. Hormonal emotions and desires can be intense. Let's not forget that. Just as they rebel against a parent and get moody or get out of control causing all sorts of disturbances or lying.. manipulating.. so can they towards someone who has rejected them.

Young men go through a very similar stage in their puberty and social development, but you don't hear about young men acting out sexually as a negative as often as it is used as a through away statement to reduce young women to one aspect of themselves. Especially when young men acting out sexually is often them being threatening or abusive towards young women/young men. Even in those situations so many people try and put the onus on the person who the acting out is effecting and not the person doing it.

Raul Esparza left the show, and now Philip Winchester (Character named Peter Stone) is taking over the ADA job. He's awesome, while Barba has hilarious sass, Stone gets straight to the point and shows that there's no time for jokes in the courtroom. I honestly love his character, as well as Barba.

I don't dislike Stone per se, but I was just getting used to him when they cut him off... I think he is a lot similar in attitude to the ADAs before Barba, and comes off as way more colder compared to him. It was kind of a shock and I also think I wouldn't have been so bitter about Stone taking over if only Barba's exit from the show hadn't been so out of character and poorly written lmao
