Guano Apes is the only band I can listen to ANYTIME. Sometimes I casn't decide what I want to hear, sometimes my favourites are boring, but Guano Apes never. They are the Jolly Jokers for me. Even if they changed, they are still unique, their past cannot be forgotten, and their decisions and different genre tours never disappointed me. Sandra is such a good singer, he can make a pop song and music video, while you can still tell, that she's she, and they like what they are doing.

To all the people complaining that Guano Apes isn't the same, let me ask you this, can you do the same thing for 20 years without feeling the need to try something different? Ask yourselves that.

Well I get your point many bands changed in 10, 20. 30 years.
I know at least couple of people who professionally did same thing for 20 years, and never felt need for change. Mostly as they have not even thought about it.
Back to music - you had bands like Motorhead - their music was not changing much.
At the end of the day it is all about taste and preferences.
And I get that some people might not like the change, some other might like it.
It is like you had this favorite restaurant, but they switch their profile from something that was regional to more international and all of a sudden it it still very good but do not match your taste to the same degree as before. You might visit it have a meal, enjoy it, but the restaurant is not your favorite anymore.
That said I totally get why bands are changing and why some bands which are not changing cannot keep up as they are getting older. I was very happy to see Guano Apes live back in 2011.
AC/DC never changed their music-features ,GNR yes(1st album Appetite for-The Stooges,Aerosmith,Sex Pistols,ecc. based on full length and masterpiece of Hard Rock/Glam Metal...while the following GNR Lies was an Acoustic album didnt matter with their First One). Which way One band chooses to have its music Way,It depends on many personal and "place" changes..Many musicians play different music in private while in front of the public they play ever the same things

Bel Air is one of the greatest modern pop-rock albums ever made. I am really happy Guano _truly_ made it. They may haave used all the good formulas but they made it soooo much better. I praise the production as well. Superb is the only word! Looking forward to see you in Croatia.

As a owner of original copies of "Proud Like A God", "Don't Give Me Names" and "Walking on a Thin Line", i listened this music today for the first time and even despite "indie" influences, it still sounds GA. And the lyrics are related to love, like most GA songs from the 3 first albums. I understand the disappointment and it remembers me when i was a teen and i felt the same about Red Hot Chilli Peppers since Californication, but actually i like them and i listen them. About GA, they grew up ;)
