  • Picked this up cheap suspecting a loose wi-fi card. Does anyone still used wi-fi on a DSi? Are the servers still running?

      Describe what happens? Do the screens flash or lights turn on?

    hii man, idk if its too late for you to keep helping us in the comments, i have an dsi xl, and i changed the wifi module today because it was failing with all the crashes, and black screen stuff, today i replaced the wifi module and for moments dsi worked perfect, but after i try to use wifi options it started failing, i opened up to see if there was something loose, and nothing, the black screen and freezes are back, it looked like wifi module fixed it but just for minutes, i get this wifi module from aliexpress, is there any chance that the wifi module that i bought was faulty, or is this other problem? im not a native english speaker btw D:, thanks for your vids

      The wifi module might be ok. There could be something elso wrong with the console. To be sure you would need another system to test the wifi module on. Look for any signs of loose components or corrosion on the main board. Clean all the connectors and board with IPA.

      Are there any access points coming up? I'm not sure if the DSi will find 5Ghz, I thnk it's only 2.4Ghz. Or perhaps the internal antenna isn't plugged in.

      You can remove the password with a master key. Here is a site to help you do it.

      Have you tried disable all security on your wifi network? There's the chance the wifi board on your DSi could be faulty too.

    7:55 what website is this

    • @PhilipBryden
      @PhilipBryden  Před 4 měsíci

      This is not a web site. It is the settings in my home router. I can see that the DS is connected to the router and has been given a local IP address

      Definitely. It's been sitting on the shelf for a while now. It's advertised on a local selling page now.
