Theory: since miss chalice, mugman and cuphead appeared together in bad ending(demonic state), the devil may have the powers to make miss chalice escape her ghost phase. Therefore, cuphead and mugman can actually get miss chalice alive again by beating the devil and commanding him to use the power for that

@@michaelspellman the devil because well he’s the devil but onscreen definitely saltbaker as he murders the characters but it was because he was obsessed with power and became good in the end
