There was a condom ad a while back, I think it was from a Scandinavian country. It showed a man in a grocery store shopping with his son. The kid was a total brat, throwing temper tantrums, throwing stuff around, and all the other shoppers were giving the man and his kid the side eye. There was no dialogue, just the kid screaming at every turn. The ad ended with the simple slogan: “Use condoms”, and the name of the brand. It’s on CZcams, really funny.

The dynamic between Howard and Bernadette is kinda back and forth. Howard bought back his moped without telling Bernadette, but she explicity told him to let it go. Yet Bernadette tried sneaking in the playhouse and Howard is all "oh i know, but im willing to play along".

As a grandma aged person, I want all of you who are new parents or might be parents some day, that you are not evil nor bad if you have moments or even a day when you just wish you could change your mind or take it all back. Even with being a spouse.
You are having very understandable moments.
Now if you know you would not be bothered at all if your spouse and or kids were taken and you would only half heartedly report it out of not wanting to look bad, you may want to seek help. No not help as in a number to hire someone to do that.
Therapy or a spa day or a day at a shooting range maybe. Before you know it, you will be sending them off to college.

That end line reminded me of a condom commercial from another country I saw on CZcams. It' a guy at a grocery store with his kid. The kid keeps putting a bag of sweets in the cart and his dad keeps putting it back. The kid then freaks out, screaming, knocking everything off the shelves, and being the kid we all know and hate in public. Then the text pops up, "Should have worn a condom."

@jessedellross she is a good wife. She has longer working hours than Howard, earns more money for a family, and she still takes care of kids most of the time, so when he does it occasionally, maybe it won't kill him. this episode was about the topic all young parents are familiar with - burnout when you have intense work and a young family. And let's be honest, women still take care of children more than men. You really don't seem to understand that scenes like this are here for a reason, your views appear to be very simplistic, only black or white, while life is complex, you say she is not a good wife because she simply feels tired from time to time, it's natural. it was established on the show, that she is the one taking care of kids more often than Howard. just stop with these childish, completely nonsensical, and constantly negative comments! jeez. Penny and her stealing from Leonard, Berns and her lying and abuse towards Howard, Amy and her gaslighting and manipulating Sheldon... like damn, they couldn't have one person that treated the men like they enjoyed them for who they were and enjoyed being around them? I know what they were trying to do in this part of the show, and I hated it. She initially stated she didn't want kids, and she changed her mind when her career took a setback, and when she got her kids, she no longer wants them? like what kind of person are you? Being a parent is not about want or not wanting, you already have a responsibility because you already committed it. Stick to it, be accountable. You can't just change your mind about raising a kid. Howard took a big leap himself by taking a break from his job and taking care of the kids, she kept her career, so she is not even willing to take care of the kids for few hours after work? This is not feminism; this is just insane amount of selfishness. She wants her career and pushes aside her duty as a mother but not willing to be accountable and ask Penny "am I bad person?". Marriage is about compromises and sacrifices to reach the same goal, not one person just shoving their desire while the other person follow through

Could it have also been partly hormones too, instead of purely selfishness?
Do you remember that scene with Bernadette and Raj, as they spoke to Raj’s father, a gynecologist, over the phone.
Could it also be that Bernadette needed to go through feeling this before realizing she wanted to be a mother after all, like some sort of phase for the greater good?

Well, you can hate it. I didn't hate it because I understand Bernadette's sentiments. Howard knew she didn't want kids. She told him that episodes, so imagine that pressure of not wanting a kid and your significant other that you love dearly does, and you end up having two children. I can imagine how overwhelming that can be.
From all of the actual episodes that I've seen, Bernadette was not a bad mother. She is accountable in more ways than one that this minor clip does not show. Not to mention, there are plenty of parents in her shoes, where they have sacrificed having children for the sake of a spouse or partner, when they knew they did want children and communicated such thoughts to that person.

you are the only one then. that scene between Sheldon & Penny was sweet and brilliant, and one of the best storylines in later seasons which are mostly lame. yes, we know, you are Penny hater when she doesn't worship your beloved Leonard. Penny did nothing wrong. Leonard was hanging out with Amy, and Penny with Sheldon, they are friends, and she is allowed to hang out with friends. At least Sheldon actually seeks Penny's advice and she pushes him. Their relationship was the best for that reason.
