  • After only mowing one time, what are the things I liked, and disliked, about the new 2022 X370?

Hey Chris! Hope you're enjoying your X370! Very nice machine, I agree. Bought mine new in April, 2017. It now has 260 hours on it, use it to mow a little over one acre. Like you, I love the power steering feature...it's the best! Very comfortable tractor to drive and ride on for hours on end. The Kawasaki engine is pretty good on gas, and has plenty of power. I like the hydro transmission oil and filter setup, makes for easy fluid changes which greatly prolongs the transmission life. I've had several hydro's over the past 20 years that failed way too soon simply because there was no way to change the fluid....not good! I like my X370, and intend to keep it another 10 years or longer. But I have had to do some repairs and replace a few items that really shouldn't need replacing so soon on a tractor with only 260 hours. First, the seat split open and cracked in many places. Replaced at a cost of $230.00. The deck spindles both had to be replaced, along with all three of the belt idlers and both drive belts. Both ignition coils needed renewed; $150.00. And today, I'm dealing with a problem of 'hot restart-no start'. She starts perfect when cold, but after mowing for an hour or two and then shut down for a break, and go to restart to continue mowing, NO GO !!!!! Found out the Electronic Control Module is failing and will need to be replaced. $330.00, OUCH !!!!! It's a very common problem with these Deere machines I have learned. So be aware that it may be something you will encounter as the years roll by. There's tons of videos on YT about it. Anyway, enjoy your X370! I intend to drive mine for a long time to come! (By the way; the electronic control module IS THE DIGITAL INSTRUMENT PANEL !!!! Yep, those 'bells and whistles' will bite us in the rear every time!!!).

I just got mine for my uncle since he is not a fan of zero turns. I would have got or a x354. But it will be a difference in using from a 140. Im a fan of the kawasaki engine, glad it has it. Im a fan of deere.
