    When the game first released, there was no restrictions on using the weeder, you could even use it when there was no seed in the ground. Thus you could take a cultivated field and use the seeding-weeder, to weed and plant oilseed radish - for 2 stages of fertilization. I think it was about 3 months in when they changed weeders to restrict to the first 2 stages of plant growth (when you can see plants on the field) - which made that particular weeder completely pointless - and since it costs more than the wide one, even less worth it!

    • @Vbluguitar

      No, They are seperate - Plowing only has to be done every 3rd time, and cultivating must be done after each crop, though some seeders cultivate for you. • @Vbluguitar
      @Vbluguitar  Před 4 lety +1

      The more you fertilize, the more crop you get. If an unfertilized field gives you 1000 liters of grain, each fertilization with give you 333 liters more. So 1 stage = 1333 liters, 2 stage = 1666 liters, and stage 3 fertilization gives you 1999 liters or double what your unfertilized field will give you (1000 liters).

      The only downside with doing silage bales is that it can get tedious, but it does make 2x as much income. If you can stand the tediousness, then I would do it and then buy a nicer harvester and tractors when you can afford them. If you want to experience the farming crops side though, then I would recommend getting the farming set I show (valtra, vaderstadt and so on) and just keep the old harvester. There really is no right or wrong way to do it. Just options.

    • @Vbluguitar
      @Vbluguitar  Před 4 lety +1

      I would say the grind is the fun part - that is why having lots of maps is important - once you feel you have "succeeded" on a particular farm, you can move to the next map and do something different. But yeah - I would start with grass, buy some additional fields and then start getting equipment for those other fields. Then expand to animals. There is no real end game. I also agree about 17 - its much smoother than 19 on xbox. You really need a good pc for 19, and the xbox emulation just doesn't do it justice.

    • @assocpress
      @assocpress Před 4 lety

      How long would you grow grass on the three fields?
      Then switch to regular crops?
      When you say buy more fields and more equipment, do you mean buy duplicate items or different items?

      Edit: I learned a valuable lesson. Always make sure and SAVE.

      @Vbluguitar  Před 5 lety +1

      Depends on your settings. If you turn periodic plowing off, or play easy mode, then yes. If you have periodic plowing on, you need to plow after every third crop

    You planted Radish??

    • @Vbluguitar
      @Vbluguitar  Před rokem

      oil seed radish, yes. You let it grow one stage and then plow it under. In real life, the oil seed radish will pull nitrogen to the surface. Then when you plow it under you have fertilizer.

    so to get a plow is it really needed in the game ? or can you just ummm i can't spell it but it starts with a C .. COAVACT ?????

    • @Vbluguitar
      @Vbluguitar  Před 5 lety +1

      I would get a cultivator, you will need it every time. Then you can rent a plow every 3rd crop as needed.

      @Vbluguitar  Před 5 lety

      if you go into the map page on the pause menu - you can see the status of the fields - You have to change the map to show it though. Fields that need plowing will be red.

      Aww that sucks I've done that on FS15 playing on Xbox 360 , one day when playing it i got up to use the bathroom then make something to eat and drink then somehow during my little break the console shut down and I lost 6 fields of work and 1 hour worth of cleaning out the bio gas silos so I had to redo everything 😒

    Giants need to ship their games with more maps, two crappy maps is unacceptable. Rubbish American or Russian maps, both are totally unrealistic.

    • @Vbluguitar
      @Vbluguitar  Před 4 lety

      I agree sort of... If you are on the switch, you are stuck. But honestly the best maps have always been the maps made by the modding community so Giants maps don't really have to be that great because good maps very quickly follow.
