"Just try and you can probably do it" - why you're my jazz teaching hero :)
Thanks for covering Cast Your Fate to the Wind. I didn’t know Vince wrote it, but it makes sense that he did as I re-listen to the ostinato structure.
This is the song that that put Vince on the radar for the people working on the first Charley Brown special. Thanks for breaking some of it down for us Tony.
I'm super happy to know I'm not the only person who can't figure out the rythm correctly! I got to practice for some minutes and I ended up totally confused about what I should exactly do with my left hand, to hold on the rythm. And then, your video appeared in my suggestions which was such a blessing! Thanks for your tips man, it really helps ^^
I always liked that tune. Thanks for posting this!
Thank you Tony! Lot of good tips here. Vince was my gateway to Jazz, so even though his playing is not so complex, he still speaks to me. Plus, this song won a Grammy Award for Best Original Jazz Composition the year I was born. The title is one of my mantras :) Cheers! (Pila)
What a coincidence! I was just playing this a few minutes ago! LOL Thanks for the tips
You can really hear how “Linus And Lucy” came out of this.
😅😅😅 thanks a lot
Welcome 😊
U don't have a color keyboard notation ? 🎹🎹🎹
Was George Winston really your cousin?
my dad and George's dad were brothers
Nice
Where are the rules saying that jazz music has to meet some magic minimum
standard of all-too-often capricious and increasing complexity, whatever that
complexity is supposed to be, at any given time, just in order to be accepted
by also increasingly capricious - and unfortunately also smug and pretentious -
so-called jazz musicians?
I'm with you, bro
