*Love this **MyBest.Tools** have the original dremel oscillating tool but it's corded which is fine in many instances but this is so versatile. Must have for any tool monger like me.*
This video is a few years old but still relevant, thank you for making it. One thing I was hoping for was to learn the actual working time of fein tool on a battery. I bought a corded mm500 because in reality I’m always near AC. Would be neat if the fein could be run as cordless or corded with some sort of adapter. Also, starlock is great. I think Milwaukee really missed the boat on their new models.
A-Fein is best of the best and very first tool that came out. B-i’ll keep my corded version Have had it for 12’years and had to purchase it on line from Germany.
Appreciate this video as a woman who feels safer using compact multi tools vs big saws & i want to get the best for my $$ & not have anything breaking down on me. This really helped me make my ultimate decision
dew alt multitool is the worst of them all. you must not need to use it very much or for anything accurate if you think it is good! I have all dealt cordless tools but that particular one is garbage
The Fein tool is so smooth. I repair windows and use an oscillating tool every single day. I drag them all around silicone sealed windows with much force... basically I beat the shit out of them. I had a harbor freight that actually lasted about a year but it was so loud and it will put your hands to sleep. The Fein corded one is so smooth and quiet, it's awesome. I have no experience with the cordless one. Problem with the Fein is the proprietary blade lock, where most of the others have settled on a common blade design. You say "to be honest" a lot. If you didn't preface a statement with "to be honest" then are your lying?
Now that you have had it for a while... would you get a bosch or this. If you were to get the fein tool again which model would you get? I'm looking for one currently.
I have the Fein Super Cut and I’ve been looking for a starlock adapter or bit that will cut a square hole in drywall, can you recommend one? I found a QBit but it doesn’t work with the starlock system.
I like your enthusiasm, but you need to make notes by doing a practice run, then refer to your prompt notes when rolling the camera. This will eliminate your pauses whilst trying to recall the points in question. Good luck.
Michael Bell not at all, I returned a dewalt multitool due to heat in the handle. The fein was night and day and pretty much like driving a Rolls Royce
That kind of heating is probably caused by internal damage like a cracked stator or bent rotor shaft. I had it happen a few times with tools that were dropped from +2m.
Yeh, the Starlock Plus blades are backward compatible. You cant use the old style blades on Starlock Plus machines (Fein and Bosch) though unfortunately.

What do u say abaut the Vibration?
The Fein Working Head isnt connectet to the rest of the Body there is rubber between it!
Fein is priced way more than the others. I have a HF and a PC which do enough for my needs!

I heard someone say with extended use it gets very hot, your thoughts?
