Sri Parthasarathy Swami Sabha is a Carnatic music Sabha in the city of Chennai, India. It is one of the oldest of its kind in existence. Sabha has instituted three awards annually namely, Sangeetha Kalasarathy for a Musician, Natya Kalasarathy for a Dancer and Nataka Kalasarathy for a Dramatist. And also it confers best performer awards for young talents were given for Vocal, Violin, Mrudangam two awards on each category who performs during the December Music Festival. The Sabha also has confers two awards The Palghat Mani Iyer Centenary Award, and M.L. Vasanthakumari Award,
The Parthasarathy Swami Sabha was founded by Manni Thirumalachariar in 1900.The sabha acquired its first permanent venue, the site of a cremation ground, in 1959. In 1962, the sabha constructed an open-air theatre.

The Vocal concert by Smt. Sriranjani Santhana Gopalan, accompanied by Shri. B.
Anantha Krishnan on Violin and on Mridhangam by Shri. Delhi Sairam and on
Ganjira by Shri. K.V.Gopalakrishnan was very well done with each of the artists
doing their best with the Vocal leading Lady compering the proceedings with
effortless ease true to the stables from which she had been tutored and trained,
besides very competent usage of her very nicely well-modulated voice to make
it delectable from start to finish. There were songs from the Telugu, Tamil languages
which were quite unique and not run of the mill which made it a special standout.
All said it was also due to the very nicely recorded music system operative that
contributed to the blemish less transmission with audition standing out.
Just electric,Very accomplished artist, Aristocracy written in every effort-she makes to be the best in her chosen field ,no doubt she keeps the audience spell-bound and mesmerised .God bless her .
I appreciate SriRanjani, on the Swara Kuraippu, for Thiruppugazh. SHE DID NOT GIVE UP, and FINALLY GOT IT RIGHT !!👍👏

tone of the gaayani is very good. of the concerts which are oft heard , this is one such concert . all the accompanists are fine. Though I have no basic knowledge of the carnati music, I used to hear the sangeeta concerts from AIR broadcast during the night hours. On Tuesdays , AIR station ,Vijayawada used to broadcast the raagam, taanam , pallavi at 9.30 p.m. which was famous. so is the case with this concert also where raagaalaapana was superb and very lucid. of course , lyrics (keertanas) could not be followed.
Brisk beginning with Darbar Varnam The team spirit is well evidenced and exhibited from the first song itself
