  • It's been a little over 1 week since my ostomy takedown and almost 1 full week of using my Jpouch. I discuss my experience so far.

Thank you so much for your words.. and how you explain everything In detail. I just had my ileostomy bag removed after 2 months. I had a terrible bad time with the bag since my stoma was retracted and there were leakedge every day.. but had questions about after thus surgery and you touched on them really nice.. thank you for your words and information.

Thanks for sharing! I seriously appreciate all the gorey details. I'm a week out from my take down surgery and just trying to get a sense for the new "normal". Glad you had a positive experience! :)

Thank you for sharing this video. My son is 2 and is at this same stage with his UC as you in this video. With him not able to fully explain how he is feeling now that his take down surgery is done, this helped me understand what he might be experiencing.

Oh wow, Aaron....he's only 2? I can't believe he's had to endure all of this at SUCH a young age. It's hard enough to deal with as an adult. I hope he has smooth sailing from on here on out! :)

Thank you so much for sharing! 😀 I'm going to be having reversal surgery in 4 days and was a little worried but your video has encouraged me that it's gonna be bad but not nearly as bad as the first! So excited to get back to normal again!!😀

EXCITED for you! And you are correct, the reversal isn't NEARLY as bad as the other! :) Some adjustment though w/ the new plumbing....LOL!

Hey there! Sorry so long to respond but I don't check my channel as often as I used to....I get busy living life...:)! I always hate to hear about people who are so young when having to go through all of this. How are things going?

Hey dude! I’ve been diagnosed with UC since I was 7. I’m now 18 and I had a colectomy this january due to the failure of treatments. Just wondering, do you appreciate your lifestyle more than the one you had with an ileostomy?
I’m really unsure if I want to do this, so it would be cool to know how things are going with it.
      Thanks

I know it's a long time since you had yours done I'm 5 weeks away from my takedown surgery and your videos have been so helpful. Could you give me any dietary tips for my first few weeks

how is your weight from surgery, did you lose much weight? what weight were you before colectomy. i have always struggled to put on wiight, pre sub total colectomy my weight was average about 72kg, atfer 1st surgery i got to 83kg, after 1st part of reversal 5 months on im not moving from 76 - 77kg, want to put on as much as i can so i dont need the TPN as it messes with my liver and the PSC.
