    How young of a puppy can you teach this?

      That's a very good question. Unfortunately, my answer would start with "that depends". Puppies need a little shaping and socialization before you would want to begin this level of structure. Typically when they are able to pull around a check chord confidently then they may be ready. That said if you arent sure then a visit with a trusted professional may give some insight to your pups readiness for training.
