people: " why did you get a 300cc, it's too powerful"
Exactly
This video went from a things I hate about it to things I love about my baby video hahaha
+REV RIDING HOOD
Haha, what can I say? I just can't help but love this bike.
REV RIDING HOOD ikr lol
If you have been riding for two years....steadily as an actual bike commuter....you likely have more skills and road awareness than lots of "more experienced" weekend warrior bikers.
+BfSkinnerPunk
Possibly.
I'm getting a 2016 ninja 300 in passion red this Wednesday! It's going to be my first bike, so excited
Dude, thats awesome. Can't wait to hear how you like it.
+ThisLifeRiding Thanks man haha any quick tips?
The bike wont move if the stands down, noone ever told me that one. learnt that the hard way trying to change into gear with it down and stalling repeatedly.
+George McHugh if I try to put my 650r in gear while the kick stand is down the bike kills itself right as I push the shifter down
It's a safety feature made so morons like us new riders don't kill ourselves lol.
personally i think this is the most mature 300 cc bike till date
I Love it.
Versys 300>the rest
I love how passionate you are about your bike. That's the great thing about bikes. You love them and they love you back :D
Enjoy the ride and keep the rubber side down, buddy!
+MickHornbak
Thanks man.
Love your content. Ive been following for a day now and I literally watched probably half of all your videos lol. I hate those negative people. Enjoy what you love.
5 years and I’m watching all your videos getting one in couple of weeks
No lies, I have that same exact bike. 2014 Kawasaki Ninja 300 SE. Mine still has all the decals. Awesome bike! You are very right about a 300 being able to do everything you need it to do.
+Alay Vue
Nice!
I love the change in tone at 7:15. Laughin' about no rides cause your tank bag then you get super serious, "but seriously get a tank bag".
Hahaha, thanks man.
Whew that was a close one.
I just bought this bike and was scared what you were going to say.
I am dissapointed about the waterproofing tho.
I was pleasantly amused when you started lovin on your bike in a dislike video lol 👍
Thanks for doing this video. None of your "complaints" made me feel insecure or indecisive about the 300 being 1 of the 2 bikes (other being the CBR300R) I am trying to decide between purchasing. I appreciate your insight and presentation of it.
+Rex Decker
Cool dude. Glad I could help. I have found that the Ninja 300 has about 20% more power then the CBR300. Unless you never plan to hit the freeway, I would suggest the Ninja 300.
I ended up getting a Vulcan S.
I am about to get my first motorbike, whats better, nunja 300 or nunja 400 2018?
I love your videos and I just had to sub. I'm looking to get the 2016 Ninja 300 ABS tomorrow and I'm far more excited/confident about the purchase than I was before I watched any of your videos.
Awesome. It is a great bike. Let us know how it goes and Welcome to the family.
Thanks man! I did end up getting it. I'm super stoked about my purchase but, as I'm still learning, I can't seem to get my shifting down. It's never smooth especially my downshifts.
Keep practicing. It will become second nature before you know it. Make some time to just go out and practice shifting and see what you can learn.
New to your channel and love it, can't wait to see more from you in the furture
+VlogSmith
Cool man. Welcome to the family.
Great video. I love your channel cause I myself have a 2014 ninja 300 abs se and I can relate to your videos.
+Romeo G
Cool man. Thanks for being a part of the community.
I don't know if you have answered this question in another post, but what tail bag is that?
#11 thing i hate about your bike is the extended windshield, looks so bad the stock is lot nicer.
the exhaust should sound nice i bet.
+Gabriel Garcia
Three reason I got the bigger windshield. First, I ride year round so winters can get pretty chilly. Keeps the wind off the chest and me a little warmer. Second, I ride in the rain. The stock windshield has some funny dynamics then send the rain straight to my crotch. Not good if I have somewhere to be. This bigger windshield stops that from happening. Third, I spend a lot of time on the freeway every day and do some long trips from time to time. The bigger windshield removes a lot of buffeting and reduces fatigue. It certainly doesn't look the best, but it might be the best mod I've made to this bike yet. The exhaust does sound awesome. Thanks man.
ThisLifeRiding Hows the bike on the longer trips? Picking mine up on saturday, cannot wait to get my first longer trip in with it.
I'm enjoying mine. I've been test riding bikes at GoAz on Hayden and Frank Lloyd Wright like the Z800, Ninja 1000, Street Triple etc and the huge difference in power kinda gets me down sometimes, really only on the highway when I'm going 70-80 and roll into the throttle and it doesnt really do much. But it is very comfortable and easy to ride, and the clutch is leaps ahead of all other clutches. Im at 6000 miles now and just ordered a set of Pirelli Diablo Rosso 2s. 150/60/17 in the rear and stock up front to take advantage of the handling of the bike since that's where it shines. I've been working 60s lately but still hoping to get a ride in with you
+gtdrummerdude
Nice man.
Im saving for this bike for my first bike this really gives me and insight to the flaws o n the bike thank you man
Hey bro I have the same bike...where did u get your frame sliders from?
I'm going to be buyying a 2015 white Ninja 300 next month, and i'm soo excited! it'll be my first bike, and I'm glad ya made this video, cuz I thought I'd love this bike, now I'm sure I will. R3 lost
New to this channel, and subscribed :)
Cool man. Glad I could help you make your decision. Welcome to the family.
What year is your 300? Did u ever solve the waterproof thing??
It is a 2014 thing and no. Every time I have had a problem, I just have them switch out the seals. Its worked on every one except the dash.
how much does it heat? did it toast your legs yet?
I was hesitant to watch this video because I thought you'd point things out about MY brand new ninja 300 that would bum me out, but you're a man after my own heart. This bike is divine.
+Adam Cunningham
Haha, yeah. It is hard to find things to hate about this bike.
Hehhee. I have watched a lot of theses videos. Hard to make up ten things on a bike you love. Heheh. Great job buddy. Have a blessed week my friend.
So true. Thanks man.
Great video bro. Can you do a video on gear you recommend? I'm buying a ninja 300 within a year
+Joey Marchese
Nice dude. I have been thinking about gear a lot lately. That's a good idea.
I just paid the piper and bought a brand new leftover 2016 300 ABS. Dealers are selling them of for nearly $1000 OFF of MSRP right now. Watching your reviews and rides over this last year, including everyone else's reviews, and I feel confident it will make a good commuter bike. I am 40, have nooooooooo desire to go much beyond the posted speed limit, I am NOT into the "get a knee down!" riding. Just putting around and going to work. I also ordered the (stupid expensive!) Gel seat for mine. LOL The factory seat is not much padding.
Nice dude. Can't wait to hear your review. Congrats on the new bike!
COYOTE ADVENTURES would you be willing to share your "out the door" price?
$4992.62 if a KY resident.
Totally agree with #4 it was a great bike but the only thing lacking was the brakes even with ABS
Yeah, no joke. I have considered upgrading the brakes, but I have no interest in getting stickier tires (my commuter tires last forever and are way less expensive). I'm not quite sure if it is worth upgrading one without upgrading the other though.
ThisLifeRiding Yeah true. What nice about the 300 is that you can slap on some sticky tires and they will still last a long time were as you put them on an s1000rr and the are done in 1k miles haha
Haha, #bikeproblems
I put wider tires on back and front it helped so much
I just got one myself and i love it!!
do you know the purpose of the pass bottom on the right handlebar?
Do you mean the trigger on the front of the left control cluster? That is called the flash to pass. I use it mainly to alert drivers when I am going through an intersection and what not. It flashes your brights.
Can you make a video about what gear to buy and a pricing under $1000
It sounds like you would like the new Versys 300x I've been looking at that for my first bike and with the same engine it is probably similar except you could take it off road a little like you want.
+Evan Vance
I've sat on it but never ridden it.
Have to agree about the turn signals. Considered getting a tinted windscreen so they might be more visible when they are on. Brakes too. Really wish it had much better brakes, not sure if the ABS would help being able to pull on the brakes hard and it stopping with out the back tire screaming back at me as its on the edge of locking up but making some noise. I don't know if I missed it, BUT I would have added Gear Indicator to the list. I get into 6th gear and once I get to 55-60 mph I'm pulling up for another gear. People wanting to race. I'm like, "UM, its only a 300". Otherwise, its my commuter bike, I get 70+ mpg, save a ton on gas and like that it looks more badass than the engine size is.
Yeah, this is an awesome bike.
So I subscribed, because this is sort of the motorcycle I want... 2014 Ninja 300 SE (yes the one with ABS). Honestly, it's been hard to find 'bad reviews' on the 300 because it is such a good motorcycle.
you didn't mention tune up? How often are they needed? the 250's needed them every few thousand miles. Did they fix this on the 300's?
Regular maintenance is ever 3750 miles.
The best fix is Blinker fluid to get rid of
1. Blinker problem
2. Being gay
3. The amount of "I" in your conversation.
Just picked up my very first bike last month. It's 2013 ninja 300. Iove it I actually bought a bigger windshield like yours.
can you do a gear review? of the gear you wear and review them, such as gloves, jacket, and helmet?
You are in luck. I already have a video for that. goo.gl/cqlFDu
Can you swap out the windshield? I hate how tall the stock one is
The windshield in this video is actually the touring windshield. It is the tallest one they make for the bike. There are plenty of aftermarket windshields that are very easy to install and come smaller and lager then stock.
ThisLifeRiding oh yeah, I just watched your windshield install video
Dude, you're awesome! Thanks for the video
Thanks man.
This really helped, thanks
would this be an ok starter bike for a 5'6 female?
+Lisa Adler
Sure, you are only one and a half inch shorter then me. That means you probably wouldn't quite flat foot it but that's not a problem. I always suggest people head to their local dealer, sit on one, and find out for themselves though.
You're laugh is so geeky but contagious lol, it's a good thing
Good response to Ad Mortem's prompt! Leg cramping happens to me right around the same amount of time on the R3. 1-1.5 hours. Opposite problem on the dash lights; I can see them very well in day light, but find them to be BLINDING at night. Particularly the high-beam indicator.
Hmm, I wonder if that is why they decided to black them out on the Ninja. I guess it is like any trade off, blinding at night or invisible during the day. Thanks for the insight.
+ThisLifeRiding I'd much rather the lights blind me a little at night than not being able to see them. Though I might take a dry erase marker to them...
Not a bad idea. just give them a light smoke ro something.
People like to think that their perfect bike should be everyone else's, when it varies so much based on need person to person. Glad you've found peace with your 300 👍
Thanks man.
How tall are you tho
what type of tailbag?
www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0083T65PY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 (Non-Affiliate Link)
Bro, your laugh makes me want to laugh. Its contagious. No homo!
Haha, good. I'm glad I can inspire a little joy in the world.
why you said it has no abs, mine is 2015 and it has
ABS is not a standard feature on the Ninja 300. While this particular bike is the 2014 SE model, it does not come with ABS.
You really love your bike mate. Hats off. No. 9 is NOT a hate at all!
I love mine too!!, light and fast is the way to go, hands down.., I did a few required mods, 100w LED headlights, a 10" Amber fog light bar ( EBAY, of course) I highly recommend this one, It WILL save your life!!, It's a triple row LED and extremely bright, also changed all the bulbs to ultra bright LED's, a brake light strobe/flasher, 2 RGB eyebrow bulbs just for fun, Engine cover slide protectors (Rockmute Strada's), Blue Pipe Mid Link Exhaust Muffler replacement (much lighter & louder than stock) with the "hot blue" look, and a db killer insert (didn't do much db killing though), a ZX6 rear shock - adjustable gas dampening and preload spring, (this is a great mod, also did this to my other two EX250's.. sold them for the 300).
looks like sprockets next for a little more top end. and tires too, probably Mich. Road. 5's.
BTW, Love ur "Hate" Vid... LoL🤣
I just got my 2014 Ninja 300 SE and I love it! pretty much same as your bike white/red.
white/black*
Cool man. Congratulations. Gotta love the Ninja 300.
So, when are you gonna get a bigger bike ?
I've been looking at bikes at came to the conclusion that I would love to get one that I can just keep and enjoy over years. Something that is engineered to be fun but still enjoyable daily. I know I'd want to do all kinds of mods and probably keep Givi on it. I was kind of looking at this and the 650 not knowing exactly how to pick ... other than test ride. It probably wouldn't matter which one, whichever felt better, but that gas mileage on the 300 would be nice especially if you get a different sprocket for highway.
Sure.
Haha he spelt brakes breaks
That's right. Taking over the world, one misspelled word at a time.
lol
I thought for sure that you were going to start off by saying there was nothing you hated about it. 😯
Unfortunately no bike is perfect... But some come very close.
There's a guy around my neighborhood that rides a 300, never talked with him, just biker waves. It's pretty hard to find 10 things to complain about any Ninja related bike. No way I could come up with 10 complaints about my Versys. The 110+ degree temps are rough, I'll be glad when it gets cooler.
I don't mind the temps at all but the humidity be have been having lately is killer.
I'm in the same boat, had my ninja 300 since '14 and I honestly don't want to get rid of it. Love this bike. Do I want a bigger bike? Yes, but I'm keeping my 300 no matter what, lol
Agreed.
have you ever tried a fz07
No, I haven't had the opportunity to ride that one yet. The reviews on it look awesome though.
ThisLifeRiding I rode a 16 Ninja 300 before I bought my FZ07 and between the two the Ninja felt harder to maneuver, to say nothing of the Ninja 650 I tried.
i want those frame sliders
When are u getting a bigger bike?
+Brage Andersen
At this point I'm actually more interested in a car. After that, don't know.
Wonder if Kawasaki has improved upon some of his objections, these past 6 yrs; am guessing "yes"........
Also wondering if one is able to "quiet" the bike some with another muffler (twins)?
The video was a great idea and very well done also.
Hey, thanks man.
I have it I own it just for a week and I want to sell it already it’s great but man my wrist are hurting.. riding Cruisers as my first bikes make this feel uncomfortable. It’s fun but not relaxed. I need to get something else like a Yamaha Bolt
You love your ninja 300? AWESOME AWESOME. i started with the ninja 500r, loved it but after having it for 2 years i was thinking I GOT TO HAVE THE 6OO. about ten year later i sold the 500r i got really depressed, 2 years later i finally got my dream bike and the bonus is it's a 2015 636 30th anniversary edition, AND I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT.
Dude, thats awesome. Always reach fro the dream bike. Best thing about motorcycles, there is a dream bike for everyone.
ok i can help you out up grade your break lines a lot of the time it can help with the weak break feel good luck
OMG, if I had a dollar for every time some chic asked me to go for a ride!!! Lol! Great video! The CB 500x is the other bike I could see you on or a straight up dual sport! Great video!
...I can't tell if you are joking about the girls asking to ride thing. Do girls... ask other girls for rides?.... Is that a thing? hahahahahaha. I have test ridden the CB500X before and I loved it. I'm not sure I would want something quite that heavy as my first off road bike but none the less, I loved that bike. It felt just like the ninja but with a greater top end range. My next bike will probably be a DR-Z400. Thanks for the comment. You had me rolling.
+ThisLifeRiding Lol, just kidding, I have never had a girl as me for a ride before and if they did I'd probably be dumb founded! Can't go wrong with a DRZ! ;)
Haha, you had me rolling there for a second. I was wondering what kind of girls you're hanging out with. Yeah, it is probably a couple years out but yeah, DR-Z for sure.
6'2 250 ninja 300 yes or no ?
Yes.
You got Instagram?
Of course you can do wheelie on this, my dad said he used to do wheelies with MZ 150. Lol
When i had mine last year, i bolted a small crate on the back.
Meaning... no rides! lol
Nice man.
*#4: The Breaks*
Mi speel reul guad.
Love my 13 ninja 300 but I'm almost 6 foot tall and 200lbs and I definitely wish it had more passing power. It's not AS confident on the highway. So I'll get a different bike (ft-07 perhaps) and my wife takes the ninja. I do agree though, it's a great bike.
Nice dude. Sounds like a plan. Thanks.
Yeah I'm getting a ninja 300 in like December man cant wait viva la ninja 300 lol
Nice man. I bought my Ninja 300 two years ago on December 6th. Anniversary is coming up quick.
alli alexander did you get it?
Its not that hard to ride 2 up, given a few people a ride after 6 months of experience and only thing is they tend to like to push unevenly on the foot pegs so the bike feels wobbly at low speeds and cornering but otherwise treat it more like a car with your maneuverability and youll be fine
the #1 thing i hate about the ninja 300 is that 2nd gear will slip into neutral sometimes. It dosnt seem to happen when the bike is warmed up tho.
+Bo
That is a problem I have experienced as well.
What's the 8th?
...I don't know. Um...Oh, I know. When other people like my bike so much they demand to sit on it. No one sits on mike bike without my permission.... Lets just say that one is a bit of a pet peeve for me.
+ThisLifeRiding 😃
lol if it has a gear indicator then it would be a wonderful bike for me lol(another new subscriber from AZ)
Cool man. Welcome to the family. I wouldn't be surprised if there is an aftermarket gear indicator out there somewhere.
You've never mentioned your tank guard. I am assuming you installed that. Do you like it? Which one do you have?
I really like this tank guard. It is really high quality. It came as a part of the SE trim.
number 9. how is that bad??? u hate that??? lol
+SuperRealityChek
Haha, it's mainly a joke. I could only think of a few serious thing so everything else is just a joke.
+SuperRealityChek - Hey! Why do you have a picture of my bike!
+JJ SS im sure they made more just like it lol
SuperRealityChek - Nu uh! My bike is special. It says so in the the title! Special edition.
+JJ SS yours might say Special Edition.. mine says Special Edition K. R. T!! HAA!!
I find it hard to believe that you're not bored with it.
+Bionic Messiah
Haha, tales that astonish.
he's mature that's why.
You don't need a bigger bike unless you go to the track. End of story. Sure, speeding is fun until you get hurt or injure someone else. You have to be responsible.
yeah because riding in 2nd gear all day long is fun!....
Why would he be bored with it?
I dunno if I should get this one now :/ maybe yamaha r3 is better..?
+NobleGamingM600
Really, the two bikes are quite similar. If you want a slipper clutch and abs, get the ninja. But if you like the looks of the R3, go for it. Otherwise, the bikes are pretty much the same.
ThisLifeRiding ive always got the impression that the ninja seemed more aggressive than the r3 but I know the r3 is a little more powerful
+NobleGamingM600
I sat on the R3 today while chilling at a dealership. I didn't feel like the seating pattern was terribly different. I will admit I like the dash set up and size of the fairings on the Ninja 300 a little more then the R3 but I think the R3 looks a little more aggressive from the front. The R3 is slightly more powerful on paper but they both top out the same. Personally, after watching all the reviews and getting a little experience with the bike, I think I would still choose the Ninja over the R3. That is just personal opinion though. Really, the best way to decide is go sit on both, get a feel for them, and if possible, test ride both. We can talk spec sheets all day but it really comes down to which one you like more. Hope that helps man.
+ThisLifeRiding ok :) I think I'm going to see but I kinda always thought the ninja looked cooler
+NobleGamingM600
Yeah, I think so as well
I've never had any water inside my cluster before, and I ride in the rain all the time.
Here's something i love about the ninja 300, if you get a small or medium drink from any fast food restaurant, you can put the drink directly left to the key, against the steering stem thingy, it stays there the whole ride. I don't know how else to show you other than email lol. maybe ill show you
channel email, sorry it wasn't a better picture! lol. but it does still stay there.
+TheEVGAftw
Hey, I never tried that. Cool idea. Thanks man.
why dont u get a ninja 650?
+Alexander Hsiung
...um.. idk.
Because he doesn’t want one!
Haha. Can't wait till I get some of these questions. Uh saving 3 grand, and pay 25 bucks a month in insurance.
Hey man, did you seriously listed the Honda Grom in that list of big bikes!!? "Ducati Diavel, Multi something, Honda Groms...."
Do you really think that the Ninja 300 would be a good bike to start riding? I'm 16 and you have no idea how much happier I'd be if I had a motorbike.
Greetings from Vancouver
I listed the Honda Grom to show a wide range of bikes that I have ridden. I think the Ninja 300 is a great starter bike. I personally believe that happiness comes from fulfilling relationships more then objects but hey. I love the Ninja 300.The throttle is very forgiving, it is light and flickable. As long as you take the MSF course, you should be fine.
+ThisLifeRiding I know man, I just thought I sounded a bit funny, and yeah you're right on that other thing
Haha, thanks man.
The first bike I learned on was a Yamaha R1 bought a Ninja Kawasaki 300 and within a couple days I was already going for trips with friends and also having people on the back not the best for having a passenger on the back for a long trip prefer to take over Yamaha R1 but from where I said he drives I prefer the Ninja 300 and also highways because with the Yamaha R1 I tend to fully open the throttle Wherever I Go
what do u think about other 300s
I have a video for that. Its old, but it is still mostly applicable. Here is a link. czcams.com/video/aMf5SlGfXOA/video.html
ThisLifeRiding thanks for fast response. looking at cb300f myself
+Sam K
Nice.
hey do u have any vids about saftey?
Mmh, not directly, but here a couple links. czcams.com/video/oB0ANj63GiE/video.html and czcams.com/video/DHls3t_iRCs/video.html I think these will be a good place to start.
I have the same and i love it! The only thing that i hate its the foot pads cuz i am 6'2 and I really need more space. But i love it :)
+vladimir tanev
Have you considered some adjustable rear sets?
Yeah but i am not gonna be able to tilt the bike in turns that much so i decided to get e higher seat. Something custom made thats gonna give the bike a little unique look :)
Nice man. Good idea.
Thanks
it sounds like you want the new versys 300x with off-road capacity and ABS brakes
+Randy McGiveron
Haha, that's what people have been telling me.
Zero cargo carrying capacity.
90% of my rides bring groceries home from the grocery store.
Every trip I make, groceries are getting picked up and brought on the ride back.
It's got to be a pack mule, otherwise, it becomes a barn queen collecting dust. Good for joy rides and nothing more. How could you miss that one.
Love your reviews
but you forgot to mention that the ninja 300 does n't have gear indicator
+The Dust
I haven't had a bike with a gear indicator before so it doesn't bother me that the Ninja doesn't have one.
I hate how bugs get stuck under the windshield.
True true.
i got the 30th anniversary edition , Loving it
Nice Dude, congratulations!
So.... when are you getting a bigger bike ?😇.
but seriously, the ninja is one of my all time favorite. really cool stuff.
Yep, love this bike.
omg wait are you in ARIZONA??? i know exactly where that "together" sign is
Haha, Yep. Mesa Arizona.
I’m planing to get a 300 as my first bike
My friend has a 300 ninja and I have a z650 and I’ll have to say the 650 is a lot more enjoyable to ride its similarly priced has more useable power and is just as forgiving. I would recommend starting on something bigger than 300 because you won’t grow out of it too fast and it feels more capable, but whatever works for you is good
The windscreen directs a vortex directly at your chest and face. It's less windy without it
I like the ninja 300 but I'm thinking about getting the Yamaha r3 instead because of the more consistent power across the rpm range. I just like stock bikes and city commuting.
Cool man. Good for you.
3.7 gallon tank is fail.
