  • Our next stop is Strasbourg, France. There is no direct flight so we took a plane to Frankfurt, Germany and then hopped on a couple of trains to France.

👩🏻‍🦰 🧔‍♂️ We’re Stephanie and Chris, a couple who decided to put our high-stress careers on hold so we could travel. After years of planning and investing, we started a 388 day countdown at which point we stopped working for pay and started traveling full time.

Hi Stephanie and Chris, did u visit Estonia and Lithuania during ur stay in Riga? I understand that they are quite close by and quite accessible? Btw, where did you stay in Riga ? You were there for 1 month, right ? Thks again :)

Hi Mike! We did not visit Estonia or Lithuania, but we would like to in the future. We did visit Riga for a month and loved it, but we also visited during the warmest time of year. I think you can catch a train to Estonia, but we didn’t really research that option. You may also be able to get to Lithuania by train. The track gauge in Latvia, and I assume some of the other countries that were part of the USSR are not compatible with European gauge. I know they are working on this, but it’s obviously a very long term effort.

You have problems with Latvian place names. Just as Jurmala is not Urmala, Majori is not Madžori.

Are you referring to the Latvian subtitles, or are you referring to how we pronounce the names in our videos? We use Google to auto-translate the English to Latvian so there could be some issues with how the names are translated. Maybe you can tell us which video you are referring so we can review and make corrections if the captions are incorrect.
Thanks again for watching and commenting on videos. We will make corrections if we can.
