I thought I was an advance Excel user until I found this channel. There are so many good tricks and the explanation and video editing is so perfect. THANK YOU
Leila I never comment on CZcams but your demos have completely changed my work and your tutorials are clear, user friendly, and you do a great job explaining complicated subjects. You are a great teacher.
I watch your videos on things I already know how to do because you drop little gems all the time. I never thought about using CTRL A once you have done a find all to highlight all the items you found. I typically do a find and replace for most items, but when you need to change the formatting this is a game changer. Thanks again Leila!
Don't you love it when you find a video as specific as this was for your current needs? Excellent Leila, you're a life saver. Found your channel a couple of days ago and your tips and lessons have been a game changer. Thank you!
This did n't work initially for me. Then I started again from the scratch. It's working now. This is really cool!!! and would be of use in future. I can shine as an excel expert in my office with your awesome excel tips.
Thanks Leila. This is a great trick for in unprotecting specific cells after you've set your sheet up and is a great reminder of the power of Find! If you know ahead of time that you want to do this, I typically create a custom cell style which not only sets the background and font colours, but also the cell protection status. One can then apply that cell style whenever you would have coloured a cell yellow.
Sis, You are the best teacher for me. Because of you, I came to know excel functions, can write complex formulae, and awesome VBA codes now I am using VBA and Python for my data analysis. Honestly, you changed my life. All the best to you.
I really feel blessed that I found your channel Leila. Thank you so much for bringing such innovative ideas. Just because of you learning Excel has become my favorite hobby. Thank you so much again.
@@LeilaGharani Just wanted to come back after using it a few times. This has saved loads of time and fiddling around etc. Thank you so much for sharing!
Queen of Excel, the more I watch your excel tutorials, the more I feel I know very little in excel. Please keep up the good work. I can't wait to have another new release from u.
Your insights reveal how little of Excel I really comprehend. Have you ever came across an issue where protected sheets don't allow the A-Z filter to be used in a dataset once the sheet is protected? I did this for a group of users to protect embedded columns of cells with formulas to find that they have lost the option to filter that way so I had to remove the protection and consequently expose those columns of cells to accidental deletions or overwrites.
This is awesome! I have a uniform ordering spread sheet that requires values to be entered in specific cells that are spread out on the worksheet skipping over descriptions, and cells containing formulas. Before I was having to use the arrow keys to move around the worksheet but with this trick I can just tab between cells that I need to edit!
Hi Leila, I love your videos! I've an easier way to do this. Modify the cell format of a cell style and uncheck the locked feature from there, and use that cell style for your input variables. All the other cells will get locked apart from that. And if you ever want to lock them again, you can simply do that by modifying that cell style again.
Grab the file I used in the video from here 👉 pages.xelplus.com/lock-cells-color-file
