2 of my favorite things about this song: 1) didn’t realize she was actually vocalizing the beat when she sings “you sure have changed since yesterday.” it blends in so seamlessly. so talented 2) at 3:10 when she says “and now you’re looking like I used to” and tony is at her feet cleaning up the spaghetti sauce. i think she’s referencing how in love she was with him. she used to be at his feet because she wanted to keep him. idk if that makes sense
Basically every song in Tragic Kingdom is about them. Tony didn't want to be with her from the start, she kinda pressured him into dating her and in the end it didn't work out.

And Fun Boy Three. The Specials inspired another famous Ska fans. Group of boys who called themselves Madness. Title of a song from Buster the king of Ska. I really enjoyed how No Doubt use the ska influence in many of their songs.

Nobody should ever want to go over there. Just keep watching this video and remember the back patio the way it was in this video with this cool Polynesian rock structure thing and the fence with a gate covered with ivy.they have the camera really filming this entire back patio you could see it from all angles and you are going to be hugely disappointed if you go look at it now. Everybody should stay away.
Letting them make a mess of the house and all 😧🤣
This song honestly holds up so well
NO DOUBT REUNION WORLD TOUR NEEDED!!...
Cuando tenía 15 años, solía poner está canción al taco para disfrutarla.
Estaba enamorado de esta belleza de mujer y disfrutaba de este grupazo que es No Doubt.
Hoy con 43 años me sigue volando la cabeza....
i always loved her "hi" and smile at 1:53
This song NEVER fails to make me smile no matter what mood I'm in. Sheer perfection.
That is why Ska is the best.
I miss this Gwen. She was fucking amazing. The whole band kicked ass.
This is my all time favorite ND song. Gwen was such a natural beauty back then, wish she never messed with that perfect face
I love this band so much. First Gwen has such a great voice especially for this genre and her style. She was meant to be an icon. Another thibg that always reminds me of ND are those bass lines. As a bassist I've always been impressed with Tony's skills and lines. Damn, such a great band 😍
Lots of female basses, Hmm Lot of great basses too.
One of my favorite No Doubt songs. It has everything!!!
High School years, although my homies and me where more in to hip hop and metal, we had special love for Gwen and No Doubt, she was our platonic love, I remember at that time that a lot of girls tried to look like her, Southern California in the mid 90’s was the shhhh
This has gto to be one of my favorite No Doubt songs. I love the lyrics, the beat, the vocals, the drumming.
I wasn’t even alive when this song was made but it somehow makes me wildly nostalgic. I wish I got to see No Doubt in their prime. Tragic Kingdom is an incredible album.
Sysoba u missed out it was an awesome time
It was an awesome time!
I saw them live right when spiderwebs had come out. It was fun, but I remember about 3 seconds from the concert so don’t worry about it 🤷🏻♂️
It was amazing. Saw a few concerts.
I got that album when I was 7. Hearing this shit actually makes me cry because the nostalgia is so totally overwhelming.
Tragic Kingdom was by far their best album.
A_Man_Named_Jayne the quintessential no doubt album indeed
But Rock Ready is really good too..
YES!!!
agreed!!
the best for sure
90's kids. We really didn't know how good we had it. So much good music flowing down the mainstream during our time.
As someone who wasnt a teenager in the 90s and seeing all the experiences these other people have had i am glad that this song brought so many people together, i may not have been around it came out but im still glad i can listen to this great song!
RIP Terry, feeling him in this video.
If you know anything about Ska, the guy on the swing is Terry Hall from The Specials, a fricken legend!
And Fun Boy Three. The Specials inspired another famous Ska fans. Group of boys who called themselves Madness. Title of a song from Buster the king of Ska. I really enjoyed how No Doubt use the ska influence in many of their songs.
I hugged him once.
@@easkels Madness were not inspired by The Specials. Madness were formed a year before The Specials. Both bands were inspired by the original ska of the 1960s, which in turn inspired reggae.
The Specials and Madness were part of the ska revival, colloquially known as "Two Tone Ska" after the record label formed by Jerry Dammers of The Specials, alongside bands such as The Selector, The Beat and Bad Manners.
@@cainedbutable we called them The English Beat, because there was an American power pop band called The Beat
Masterpiece!!! Where is this kind of bands today??
They're everywhere. Sure, not on the radio, but with the Internet at your fingertips, all you have to do is look for them.
+Steve Eidem basically have to dredge through miles of shit hacks to find the gems
Maxïmo Park reminds me of No Doubt, and they are still playing
arthemispower dead 😩
Anybody else listen to sublime?
90s were the greatest.
Best opening riff, in my opinion.
I remember seeing this as a kid and having the biggest crush on Gwen. 20 years later, still do.
I love gwen, so beautiful, could watch her all day
No Doubt was amazing! Beacon St, Tragic Kingdom and Return of Saturn were so good! When Rocksteady came out you can tell it was over
One of the greatest bass lines of all time
if No Doubt did a tour where they played Tragic Kingdom front-to-back i'd be one of the first people buying tickets. this is the best ND album.
Jack Nunley I will be right behind you pal
All 90’s girls are now wondering how Gwen got her eyebrows back to normal while the rest of us are still drawing them in.
Lol right
Probably just shaved them clean off instead of over plucking.😭
LOL!!! Indeed!!
Lowkey think the still look sick
She looks like 90s Marlin Monroe
The opening drums...😍😍😍
RIP Terry 🤍
I can't believe this song is 20 years old!
I hope I look as good at 47 as Gwen does. I mean...damn, have you seen recent photos? She's just stunning.
It's called makeup
+foxzygranpa she looks good without make up as well. Cut it out
+foxzygranpa She's still sexy without make up my boy
Mainly because she's of the 'pre social media addict' age. She kept fit (No doubt shows were a workout in themselves) and because of this she still looks better than most girls barely half her age.
Rien Jen
RIP Terry!!
Kids these days cant make music like this
God bless you, nineties music and era.
I feel honored to be part of Anaheim and to realize that the house next to the convenience store @1:47 was actually my grandparents house, thank you Gwen for being such an inspiration. Still today that convenience store is there and shopping feels like walking with Gwen.
holy shit haha i run by that store several times a week on my daily jogs. i live down the street from there and yes i can confirm it's still there. wonder why they put it in the video, if they're actually from this neighborhood.
@@oldfrend the house this was filmed in belonged to Gwen's grandparents, her grandpa is actually the man behind the counter in the store.
@@oliviaflores872 No he's asian who owns the store and those two are his asian children who'll probably inherit the store after he dies.
If ya read my note......yyou know the area and i went to that area alot....small stores.I used to go to " Tracy'S bar " in Long Beach and they loved it in 85 or 86 or so and packed and i could'nt get in....so i sat on the bench 20ft from the door and the sound was clear and crisp...magic sound that night....but after that they change there clubs to play in.😉😖😖😖😣🎵🎵🎼🎼🎶🎤🎸
what store is it?
No Doubt 90's 🇺🇲 ❤
Gwen Stefani is an absolute icon ❤❤❤❤
I love the feeling this video exudes, it looks like an actual sunday morning. That feeling you get when you’re hanging out with your friends after being out the night before, so fun!
I needed that blast from the past… What a great song from a historic album.
God this reminds me of hanging out in tower records in the 90s browsing through the albums. Chain wallet and baggy jeans. Just chilling out with no where to be
12/10/23 Sunday morning I’m a 36 yr old male from Maui and I’ll never forget when I went to there concert at the MACC. I was in 6th grade and we knew there was gonna be a lot of chicks haha Me and my friend made his sister take us then she ditched us in the concert haha but I remember the 90’s was all about having fun and not giving a shit! Nostalgic days!!! Thank you for the best childhood!!
