What I love about No Doubt is that Gwen and the guitarist were in a serious relationship when they started the band, but it wasn't until after they broke up and she started writing songs about their split (like this) that the band really took off. Must have been uncomfortable at times, for sure, performing heartbreak songs alongside the person who inspired them.

Me and my daughter were always together day in and day out for the first 3 1/2 years of her life....things didn't work out between her mother and me... everytime we would see each other we would play this song all the time......and when she was 9 we used to sing and I'll play this song on my guitar and she would perform to me and do everything gwen was doing n the video..we lost touch for many years cause I was having a hard time with drugs and alcohol due to depression... and every now and then she would text or send me this song to let me know she loves and misses me...😞💕💕..and remind me we would laugh and play and hear this song over and over alot when she was little....she's in her late 20s and is a mother herself now and every now and the she sends me this song letting me know how much she remembers the beautiful Bond we had when she was little....this song has super sentimental value to me as a young man and father......it will forever mark my bond with my princess....💗💗💗💗.... She made me a grandfather just this year and she played this for me after giving birth....how I love the way music touches everything you feel inside... She is thinner now at 47. Ive noticed when women keep it in check weight wise its all cardio not adding muscle mass. Here she has some meat on the bone. Not much but enough to know its muscle and toned. After the kids Im guessing she just decided to stay thin and lean not toned and muscled. I like her either way.

It’s actually wild how much Gwen inspires me! There’s clothes that I bought literally last year, that are worn in this video. My last haircut was one of the looks. I sing, and the way I move on stage is like her. It’s just really dope to see the longevity of Gwen’s career and her impact on other artists like myself. It’s real. Love the guys too they’re amazing!

I've ended a short but intense, confusing relationship 2 days ago (01/09/23) and I feel so embraced by this song. I told the guy during our last phone call, "if you really decide it's over for us, please don't text me about it, I'll get it from your silence and leave you alone". Welp, this was Friday night, now it's Sunday morning and I still haven't got a text. I guess it's really over. Last night I went to a pub with my friend in a failed attempt to drink the overwhelmingness away and that was when I heard this song fully for the first time. Of course it made me feel no better but I feel like I can relate so much to the lyrics right now. "Don't speak, I know just what you're saying, don't tell me 'cause it hurts". It does hurt, but I learned so much from it (even from all the lies and secrets from both parts). A canon event that cannot be interfered, as people say.
I don't even know why I'm writing this. I used to have this tradition of leaving comments under CZcams videos just so I could check them years later and remember what I was feeling/going through at the time, like a time capsule. I hope I can re-read this comment in a couple years and celebrate that I'm in a better place, mentally and physically.
