Please let the game developers know about the "Dinning Room"...ideally before they go into large scale manufacturing! Doesn't bother me as an end user but I'd be mortified if I missed that typo...
This game NEEDS to be replayed for Halloween, with a different killer. One who can make this game more.... suspenseful. One player with the power....of......... Patience.
I'd say this game is perfect for some... tomfoolery.

According to the rulebook, in the end some mistakes were made. It says that one survivor in the location is chosen as the defender of the attack (after declaring which survivors are in that location). If they win that encounter, everybody (including those who didn't defend) can optionally move 1 location. If they lose, the next person in that location has to defend. Even if they get hurt, they still get to optionally move 1 location. Basically, everybody has to defend one by one until someone wins or they all lose.
So after Laurie's first injury, he could've moved 1 location, which means he could've stayed there or been three locations away. And Blair's successful defense afterwards means Laurie didn't die and they both could've moved 1 location.
Ahh that makes it better really. Don't mind them messing up but it really put me off the game how once you hit someone there is this chance of 100% win (unless the decide decide otherwise) because with quickseacrh you can catch up most likeyl and in some situations there ill be no other way for you to go so... there won't even be a way for someone to defend you. Now with this rules explanation it seems a bit more balanced.

@@palmcrazysg 0-1 moves after the attack, yes. But Laurie had a turn after that where he could've moved 0-2 times, which means in total he could've been 0-3 locations away.
That's a pretty major change in outcome.
From the rules I see, there was also a mistake in the very last encounter. Blair successfully defended therefore the other survivors did not need to defend. That stops the killer in their tracks and doesn't attack any other survivors.
Tom deciding to appear near the end to steal the show. 🤣 This game really would be the perfect vehicle for him.

After playing some of this kind of boardgames (Betrayal, Nemesis, The Thing) I realised how I hate watching horror movies, but I love horror themed boardgames
I love horror where I can be detached from what's happening. Board game where it's theatre of the mind or deception or something? Fine. Video game let's play? Fine. Playing the video game myself? Bad. Watching a movie? Bad. For me it's mostly jump scares Vs actual horror

That house has to be one of the greatest things I've seen a board game include. A card holder, character sheet, game screen and dice tower all rolled in one, absolutely beautiful.

Agreed. I was a little shocked Tom wasn't there. I thought to myself at the start that it sounds like a very Tom game!
I'll fully admit, I was saddened to see the lack of Tom in this episode, but NRB does not disappoint.
“They came into my house, remember. That was their mistake.” This is basically Dracula’s defense. Harker was warned. It was really his fault.
The game seems rather similar to "Fury of Dracula" too.
What? Dracula paid Harker to come to his house.
Dracula wanted to buy some property in London, *paid* for a lawyer to come visit him in Transylvania, and then ate/mind controlled him.

Surprise Tom cameo is the best part of this episode.
"I'm starting to lose it. Maybe I should get another Daddy." is possibly my favorite ever Adam quote. Especially since there is nothing to do with Daddies in the game. He just immediately started talking about his "daddies" early in the interviews and here we are. 😂
I love how Tom pops up at the end, I want them to play this again but with Tom as the killer, it would be so good

This game is a hard one to follow as a viewer, but it is very fun! I feel like I wish there was like a voice over explaining what the team is doing, since they can't talk! 😅
When playing 1 vs all games on camera, might be a good idea to have the “1” person where noise-cancelling headphone with music going so the “all” can talk more free and let the audience know their ideas.
Great show, Tom swinging in late with the Joke of the Day was a nice touch
Sully should have done the bottle into the main hall instead of the hallway, that way Adam may have thought that Laurie moved three spaces instead of two over there. Oh well.

Very interesting mechanics. In most hidden movement games I know, the "one" player is hidden and the "all" are working together to flush him out - this is the opposite.
My only complaint was going to be the lack of NRB's resident sinister murderous recluse, but even that got rectified in the end.
What seems apparent was the movement of people’s hands behind the screen/dice tower, giving their position away to the murderer, especially in the opening moves. It was obvious which way the first 2 players went.
Good job to everyone but I have to admit, between this and Sniper Elite, Adam is the man at hidden movement games against some very worthy opponenets. I loved watching this.

The production value on this game is really quite something, but it's a shame that it drives the cost up so much. I'd buy a less maximalist version of this without the minis and with a bog-standard foldable screen in an instant.
So technically, Adam should not have attacked the Doctor, since the Killer cannot continue attacking everyone if a Survivor successfully defends against the Killer. Other than that, it was nice to see the playthrough.

FEED THE KRAKEN! I can't suggest this game enough for you guys on No Rolls Barred to play. It's one of the all time best social deduction games out there right now. It will suit you right up your sleeves. PLEASE play this game Adam! You won't regret it, I promise! Everyone that have had a chance to play this know exactly what I'm talking about here!

Did anyone not notice that the whole winning move shouldn't have happened? Once Blair defended from the attack the killer doesn't get to keep attacking.
That one look fun, I now have this on my saved Kickstarters and I'll see if I can do anything about it at a later time.

This has to be played with Tom now, and a better understanding of the rules and game play will make it even more TERRORfying.

A little bit of a late comment, but I think a fun extra win condition should be that the murderer gets wounded when a survivor defends themselves with a weapon. If the murderer gets wounded enough times, they'll die/be incapacitated, and the survivors automatically win. It'll add a risk/reward factor, encouraging survivors to willingly encounter the murderer, with the risk of getting injured themselves weighing against the chance to wound the murderer and win.

I have not read the rulebook, but I watched another playthrough where the killer starts with a hand of 5 cards. In the killer turn, they can play any instant card, then either play an action card OR execute 2 actions between move and search (the same action can be repeated). Looks like the way you played was much more challenging for the killer.
Edit: not sure which one is the right way to play, but one version is easier for the survivor and the other easier for the killer.
I just read the rulebook, and it is very confusing; it says, "The killer starts the game with 2 cards, at the end of the turn draws 3, and has a hand limit of 5", so it is a third version. Furthermore, some action cards show to pay a cost in cards, but it does not say in the rulebook, just in the FAQ at the end.
Maybe you guys received a revised rulebook compared to the one on BGG.

Wouldn't Sully have made noise searching, since only Blair's character does not make noise with a search action?
Searching is only a "chance" of noise, based on whether or not the item you draw has a noise icon on it.
