    Great video. Just bought this turntable. My problem is the opposite of most people's problem. The turntable relentlessly connects to the bt soundbar in another room, interrupting people watching the TV. My complaint is that whenever you plug in the turntable, it always defaults to pairing mode, rather than bluetooth staying solid red and off. Any suggestions?

    • @MusicInAnime
      @MusicInAnime  Před 2 lety +4

      Ah! Great question and one I didn't think about when making the video. You can turn off the Bluetooth. Press and hold down the Bluetooth button until it slowly blinks red twice and the Bluetooth is off.
      You can read more about it right on Audio technica's site here: www.audio-technica.com/en-gb/support/bluetooth-reset-procedure-for-the-at-lp60xbt-turntable/
      And it looks like it's the same procedure to turn the Bluetooth back on but you wait for it to blink blue.
      Hope this was helpful (:

    • @MusicInAnime
      @MusicInAnime  Před 2 lety

      Adding to this though, idk how quickly yours connects to the soundbar in the other room (I'm guessing maybe 5 seconds?) Either way, once you plug it in, hold down that Bluetooth button.
      If your record player already connects by the time you're able to press the button? I'd get a power strip and place it somewhere close to the player so you can just flip the switch and then hold the button quickly & easily before it connects to anything.

    • @lifelongpilot
      @lifelongpilot Před 2 lety +1

      Yeah, it is a weird situation. But I figured out that if I pair it to something else first while the soundbar is off, it never goes back into pairing mode, so I dont have to worry about it anymore. So when I plug it in now it just flashes blue for awhile (searching for my previously paired device) and then goes red when it cant find it. Weird solution that works. I appreciate the response man!

    • @MusicInAnime
      @MusicInAnime  Před 2 lety +2

      Ah, so it can only be paired to one device at a time and you reset the Bluetooth if you want to pair it to something else. It doesn't just search for any device every time. That's really good to know!
      Glad you figured that out and thanks for sharing the knowledge. Happy spinning!

    First time on your channel. I just purchased the AT-LP60X (non bluetooth) as my first record player and am enjoying it. Perhaps a follow up video should include tips on how to adjust the speed. Mine arrived with a speed around 25rmp when set at the 33 1/3 setting. My record sounded funny and I had to research how to adjust the speed. I downloaded RPM Wow and made the adjustments on the bottom of the unit to correct my speed. A little bit of a headache but am glad AT provides for this adjustment. In my opinion the scale is not really necessary as there is no adjustment possible with this player. I do have a question though, wiht this unit are we able to select different stylus to perhaps increase our audio quality? Thanks and keep up the good work.

Built in RIIA Amplifier and fully automatic. Belt motor. Cost 199€. It has great bass sound also. Now I am planning to buy a new turn table. This is cheaper and less equipped it seems. But pretty good if it sounds good.

    However, if I decide to connect it via a cable, the Sonus only has a usb C input. Could I connect a 3.5 aux lead from the turntable into a female 3.5 aux to usb C adapter and then the usb c plug end into the Sonus?

    So it I get the BT version, I don’t have to use it as if it as Bluetooth version? Does it come with the cables to do do? Great review! Also, it’s for my 24 year daughter, that has never had a TT. Also, where do you get longer cables? Lastly, my daughter is putting the TT and speakers in her bedroom, which speakers do you recommend DB or DBs?

    • @MusicInAnime
      @MusicInAnime  Před 6 měsíci

      Correct. The BT version allows you to either connect to speakers wirelessly or directly to speakers using the cable that's included. If you needed a longer cable, you can find them on Amazon. Just search for a "3.5mil to RCA cable," and you'll find different lengths. How long of a cable you'd need entire depends on your setup, but a 10 ft cable is a safe choice of length.
      As for the speakers? When you say "DB or DBs," are you asking about decibels? If anything, lots of speakers can go well over 90db, but you should listen to music between 70-90db. Hopefully that answers your question.
      If you were asking about speakers in general? Edifier speakers, like the one I show in the video, are very good. If you go to TurnTableLabs website, they sell these record players bundled with the speakers.
      I hope this was helpful, Debbie! (:

    Hi, I am having issues. The copper spool that the belt connects to is too high and the turntable disk is hitting it. What can I do fix this problem?

    • @MusicInAnime
      @MusicInAnime  Před rokem

      Hey Janna, I've been looking for a possible fix because I haven't seen that problem before, and it seems to be rare because I couldn't find anything on the matter. But I think I found why the spool is higher than it should be. There's thermal padding that goes on the top and bottom of the inside of the motor. Maybe the thermal padding that goes on the top is missing, resulting in the spool being higher than it should be.
      I couldn't really find anything else on it, but to fix that would mean opening the whole thing up, getting the motor out, and taking the motor apart just to even check that. If it's possible to exchange the record player, it would be far, far easier to just do that.
      Sorry, I don't have a better answer for your situation.

    Hello, could you advise me? Which turntable is better? Audio-Technica AT-LP60XBT or SONY PS-LX310BT?

    • @MusicInAnime
      @MusicInAnime  Před 2 lety +3

      Aside from how differently both of those look visually, they're essentially the same. The have the same type of cartridge and stylus so in terms of sound quality and how you'd replace the stylus, you're getting something very similar between the too. The same goes for how they function as well.
      The Start/Stop and other buttons on the Sony are more durable than the ones on the AT, but that's not really an issue on the AT if you're just pressing them lightly (the way you should with any electronics). If you're naturally careful with your devices/electronics it isn't something you'd be thinking about every time you use it.
      The dust cover on the Sony has a much darker tint than the AT. If you want to be able to see your record more clearly, the AT's dust cover isn't tinted at all so you can play with the lid closed and still see your record just fine.
      The biggest difference between the two is with the audio cables.
      The AT has a 3.5 jack on the back of it so you can easily replace or upgrade the cable if you needed to. (I have cats so if they chewed it, its easy for me to replace)
      The Sony has the audio cable built into the board so its not as easy to replace it. (I've searched on how you could even replace it cause I'm just curious and I'm not able to find anything on it)
      If you're not worried about even having to replace/upgrade cables at all? Than I wouldn't worry about it.
      In terms of space, the Sony is a bit wider than the AT as well, idk the exact dimensions but you will have a little more room to work with with the AT.
      Those are about all the differences I can think of between those two.
      Being able to easily replace anything is important to me personally which is why I put the AT over the Sony but ultimately the decision is yours and you're getting a great table either way.
      I hope this makes it easier for you to pick whichever suits you (:

    • @MusicInAnime
      @MusicInAnime  Před rokem +1

      Hey lilRogero! So, the edifier speakers are Active Speakers. That means they already have an amplifier built into them. If you connect an amplifier to active speakers, you can blow out the speakers and also ruin the amp.

    Do you think it is necessary to buy a preamplifier to improve the sound?

    • @MusicInAnime
      @MusicInAnime  Před 2 lety

      You'd get a cleaner sound so yeah, but there are a number of other things you can do to also affect the sound like the kind of platter mat you have. If you want a punchier bass? The hide side of a Leather platter mat is great. If you want more emphasis on the medium to high ends? An Acrylic platter mat is great (at least that's how my ears hear it). It depends on what you're looking to improve. I haven't gotten around to getting a separate preamp just yet so I can't speak to how much more clearly your sound would be With vs Without one or what to recommend, but it should give your sound more clarity.

    • @MusicInAnime
      @MusicInAnime  Před 2 lety +2

      Very comparable & the buttons are more solid. Also a great option. The only reasons I went with the AT-LP60X to recommend over that one for a beginner are;
      1: It comes with an AC adapter (something you can easily replace if needed) vs. the built-in power cable on the Sony.
      2: The clear dust cover (seeing the record is a nice part of the hobby and for someone new a tinted cover like the one on the Sony might be less exciting to them.)
      3: Its' not as wide so it takes up less space on a tabletop.

    Just got this one as a gift and I love it. I’ve been experiencing some “needle talk”, I believe? I basically hear the music played quite softly coming from the turntable itself, even when Bluetooth is paired. Is there a way to fix this?

    • @MusicInAnime
      @MusicInAnime  Před 2 lety +2

      Happy to hear you're enjoying your record player! (:
      And needle talk is completely normal. If anything, it's science at work. The needle sends what it reads from the grooves on the record to the cartridge which generates the sound to get applied.
      The sound it produces is very small so that sound goes through the pre-amp to become a larger signal so when you plug in your speakers or amplifier you can actually hear everything and enjoy the music.
      You've a couple options. Turn up the music 🎶🎵👌🏼 or setup placement.

    You really shouldnt rotate the platter backwards on a fully auto turntable, if the mechanism is in the middle of its cycle you can screw things up pretty quick - the manual tells you to rotate the platter CLOCKWISE a few times to make sure the auto mechanism is fully parked or at rest.

    No you don't want it 3.4 grams if it's giving you a weight between 3.5g and 2.5g you want it at 3g 0.1 either way could be adjusted if you feel it's giving you a better sound. And another thing you don't check for level using the dust cover you have to use the platter without the mat, and set the arm bias for this type of cartridge about 2 -2.4 grams

    This Beginners crap isn't what this turntable is about. It's just a good turntable that doesn't have all this Tone arm weights that are so complicated that even a loose hair gets these weights going crazy & makes very little difference to the average listener, some of these hugely expensive ones that the anal retentives buy make me laugh. This is just a very good turntable at a sensible price for sensible listeners. Enjoy & don't take this as a Beginner label rubbish.

    • @MusicInAnime
      @MusicInAnime  Před 2 lety

      Not having to worry about the counter weight is a pretty big deal for someone who is just getting into the hobby. You said it yourself, they can be "complicated " and if it isn't setup correctly, it can damage your records or have constant skips.
      That wouldn't be great to experience for someone, who again, is just starting out and can potentially turn them away from the hobby.
      Without the counterweight, this has a plug-in-&-play quality that allows for someone to quickly start playing records and it'll last a long time. That's great for someone who's just developed an interest in vinyl and that's who this video is for.
      The Beginner label just helps them find the video because that's what they're searching for.
      But yeah, you're right in that regardless of whether you're just getting into the hobby or not, it's just a really good Turntable. All the more reason I recommended it.
      Cheers.
