The rare, but devastating moments when Wayne misspeaks a word
Falconing.... Falconry
If storks bring babies, what kinds of birds brings no babies? Two goods swallows. Maranades on thats for a while.
Now that's what I appreciates about you
Ain'ts that's the truth
That was golden
Wow! I did not catch that
“Oh, yeah, an African swallow, maybe, but not a European swallow. That's my point,”
Entire scene is a shout-out to Monty Python. Weight distribution in avian species? Yup, that's a nod.
Also, Dary's right.
The Coconuts. Could a Swallow carry a Coconut from a Tropical environment across the sea to Briton and drop it there to be used as hoof sound effects.
@@MrWhateverfits “Oh, yeah, an African swallow, maybe, but not a European swallow. That's my point,”
@@MrWhateverfits Maybe two swallows attached with strings to the coconut?
'You've got to know these things when you're king'....
BAHAHHAHAAHAH
They are mesmerizing. That slow delivery of the peregrine argument hits like a shovel to the head on the punch line.
There was nothing logical whatsoever about any of that entire conversation, and it was the funniest thing I've seen all week.
Allegedly.
Sad story
That's what's I appreciates...
"I think .... What you just said ..... is obsurd." XD That got me
Thousands of feet in the air…..I’m thinking 3500 feet….exactly what I’m thinking 3500 feet….😂😂😂
Absolutely genius is every silly line
You can also see they are struggling to keep a straight face
Awesome writing
a stork can't deliver a 10 pound baby... thats a job for a crane!
This stuff NEVER gets old. Love it!
I loved Peregrine falcons ever since I read My Side of the Mountain
As a falconer, I can, in fact, confirm that we carry all sorta nuts.
Who are you, that are so wise in the ways of science?
It could be carried by an African swallow...
Gonna miss the hell out of this show 😢
I’m getting major European vs American swallow vibes here
I ended up binge watching the entire show. How they turned that wholesome is pure art.
Damnit that’s some funny shit there.
Going out classy with the homage to Python. I miss this show, and I’m mad about it!
Boots Falc’d an Ostrich (*Alledgedly) although it would take two
unless the ostrich was sick
I thought the Ginger falc’d an ostrich (allegedly).
"Starks retorts" 😂
These guys make me laugh so hard 🤣
Great show, great humour, great juxtaposition, great fun!
A million funny details in every sketch, but the intentional railing across the face shots just make me giggle every time.
You and your pals were making the final season of your show the other dayyyy...
I think Monty python already had a variation of this conversation.
Best show ever
The way I see it, the only real question that need answering is; What is the air velocity of an unladen stork?
with the caveat that I love the banter and do not expect scientific accuracy from a bunch of dudes just shooting the shit, I do want to just share some cool facts about peregrines bc they are PRETTY cool and i'm a nerd:
peregrines eat pigeons most of the time, that's why they're so fast--they hunt pigeons mid-air. Just knock them right out of the air with their fists. And the speed is only in a drop, not powered flight.
Falconry-trained birds do not realise they can eat what they catch for the falconer, because the falconer never lets them eat what they catch; after it retrieves the prey--usually a pigeon--and the falconer put the prey in a bag, the bird is hand-fed little bits of meat from the falconer's hand.
Falcons (and hawks) are also often captured in the wild as young birds, trained and used to hunt for a bit, then trained to hunt for themselves and released as very successful wild animals--imagine being taken in by aliens as a college student, trained to a profession for free while receiving excellent food and medical care and safety, and then released; it's like that. Falconers are the chief group of people helping restore populations of endangered raptors because of this expertise they have!
Peregrines were endangered in the USA before someone realised that skyscrapers are a lot like cliffs, and cities have a lot of their naturally-preferred prey of pigeons, and we tried releasing them into cities. It worked! And now peregrines are thriving in NYC and other places as a protected species!
I think the boys are 100% correct that training ANY bird to do things is called falconry though. Pelicans and storks are both birds that practise infanticide of their own--seabirds generally engage in behaviours we humans find very 'cruel', though, of course, animals can't have morality--so I wouldn't pick a seabird to carry a human baby at all. It's a shame pigeons are so small, they're my pick for baby-carrying, bc they home and they're domesticated and love people. Big enough pigeon would be happy to carry babies for us.
This is what I appreciates about you.
We have tons of peregrine falcons here in Hamilton, Ontario. It's so cool watching them hunt. I watched one eat a pigeon on the roof of a nearby building once.
Read this whole long comment. Can’t tell you why. Happy I did.
@@IgnoreIgnore-fq8qe I feel like the OP is someone who writes that is using an alias. I’ve read their post again every time there’s a new comment.
Well, pitter patter, you got at er. Nicely done with all that cool information.
Pull out of Sweeny... I kid you not.
The Canadian version of Monty Python.
Oh fuck I’m surprised we’re not falconing one right now.
get this guy a puppers
That's some high speed chicken feed rights there.
I had to rewind the intro 20 times😂😂😂😂 the other dayyyyy
I love the, ".....I WAS confusing storks with Pelicans." XD
He got me there too.
Please bring this show back!!!
A good show knows whens its times is is overs. Better to go out strongs than get shitty, yeah?
@@ggob5348Agreed, and I would argue this show jumped the shark couple seasons ago, so better cut it than going onwards for no reason
I apparently was part of the stork column when I was born, though I don't know what page it was on.
Where do storks fit in with C-sections I wonder - just being on site in the OR cheering on the mom?
You can go to the library where you were born and dig through the microfilm of the publication around the time you were born. Some libraries even have humongous books filled with the physical backlogs for each year(or several at a time depending on tge sjze) of a publication
A Pelican could carry a baby. Perhaps the writer of said tale also confused with a Stork?
Yea. Give us more!
Bender dun dat bubbie- perfect jokes
Letterkenny and Shoresy are my top 2 favourite shows of all time and I even have the Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs hockey jersey and the Letterkenny Shamrocks jersey as well to prove it 🙂🏒🥅🍁🇨🇦
Turkeys get falconed all the time 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
When they started with the perigin falcon they went from lift VS thrust to thrust VS lift which is a whole different animal in the aviation world.
I was confusing storks with pelicans. lol.
It was totally logic
...falconry
😂
Bro I swear I’ve had a conversation like this with my brother
STOP TRYING TO TEACH ME MATH!
Eh, pelican. Yeah, that could be the one.
Funny af
I'm not getting that time back.
its a good one....but its no "Ants on Ski-do's" Lol
don't piss me off dary
I heard it was ostriches...
Absurd 😂
Take off.
Daryl’s chair would be broken by now at least where I live. Baked in summer would wear out the elastic in the plastic
I need to start speakin in plurals.
Probably the best show in the past decade. It’s wonderfully written and delivered in a way that country folk can relate to. City people listen up.
WILD REALLY HOW HE SAYS YOU AND YOUR PALS LIKE WE ARE PART OF THE CREW ❤
I mean yeah
Lol 😂
I keep looking for the moment where Wayne confuses storks for pelicans. I am unable to catch it.
Empire was better than jedi!
😊😂😂
Everybody knows kids come from the cabbage patch
falconing....
falconry...
Hahaha
🤣
Pardon?
After watching this maybe MAID is a good choice in Canada?
For those who don't understand comedy, that was a satirical joke
Tall snake 17
I’ve never noticed how fake the smoking is.
Why didn't they mention an African Sparrow?
hello Canada
How would one practice falconry with a penguin? You'd have to sit down so as they could hop up on your arm. And they're clumsy as fuck on land, so they might fall off. Still, though, if you wanted to use falconry to hunt small fish, you might make some real progress with a penguin. Also less likely to try to eat passing seagulls than a pelican would be.
Ok, it’s Canadian but where? The big guy sounds like he’s from Tignish, Prince Edward Island.
Letterkenny is based on Listowel, Ontario - just west of Toronto.
Peregrine Falcons eat birds... if they dive-bombed a creature on the ground at 240 mph, they would die. They do it to birds mid flight. Even more badass
I'm sure they know that. This is comedy, not biology class. 🙄
Rare moment of failure for Wayne.
How in the hell do these guys know what a foot or MPH is?
They were a British colony until not too long ago so likely took it from us, it's not as if their southern neighbours could convert them to metric.
First watch. Wow. Just. Fucking. Wow.
Do your ever think or care of the people that you run off with your obscene title.
Hopefully not. Much more important things in the world to worry about than offending judgemental zealots.
Sad Monty Python rip-off.
Nothing sad about it, it's called a homage.
This is the worst show ever made
My daughter was 10lbs 9oz. You'd have needed a damned ostrich to carry her.
This series was wonderful. Only complaint I have is they should have killed off k Trevor Wilson’s character. Fuck is that guy unfunny.
Glad you have nothing to do with the production of the show =)
Pardon?
