  • Hey there folks. Sorry for such a long break between videos I've been working on the metal building workshop and I almost have videos to publish for your viewing.
In the meantime, I have two large, slightly heavy Harbor Freight floor fans that are a 'pain in the rump' to move around so I will resolve that issue in this video. I hope this gives you an idea how to mobilize heavy objects that you have in your workshop. Please enjoy the video and comment. I love your comments. Have a great week. Don 👍🏽🤠
Here's a link on the blue wheels I purchased from Amazon www.amazon.com...

We had one of those fans that we have used to keep the horses cool.
In fact, we used to put it in the dairy barn when we milked and it was super hot.
    Made things much more comfortable.
We sold the dairy comes in ‘86 and it became a fan for the horses.
    Last summer
, our new mare knocked it over and busted the motor and bent the shroud severely.
The whole thing went in the junk this spring after many years of trouble free service.
You’re right about the with Don.
Ours was homemade and the base by itself was well over 100 lbs.
I didn’t even try to pick it up and carry it.
I went and got one of the loader tractors and let it do the heavy lifting
    I must be getting old.
I use my head now where I never used to!
    😀

Ha, as I heard someone in the Corps say to use the bump between my shoulders for something more than a hat rack. Well, I finally did. The fan is super heavy and I got so tired of lugging it around using my heavy duty dolly. Ha, sounds like your horse might have tried to reposition the fan's airflow and got a bit too heavy-hooved with it. Gary, as much as I hate having to admit it, but age is advancing at a rapid pace. The bad part about it is that my strength is collapsing in my arms and a little in my legs.

Thanks J, I bought a second Harbor Freight 30" floor fan for my workshop and they're great at what I need them to do but moving them around has taken a toll on me. However, I must give credit where credit is due. The wheel concept was not a Don invention. The original idea was conceived by other heavy floor fan owners who deal with the same issue. Appreciate your view and support. Please enjoy the remainder of your week my friend. Don

Wes, I definitely had to do something different b/c that heavy fan was getting the best of me. I was always fearful that the heavy fan was going to win and it did many times🤣 . Thank goodness for CZcams. I thought of the idea and found other YT'ers have already gone through the same backache, so I used their experience and voila, shared experiences! Hope you're slaying the fish and continuing your skinny boat adventures. See you on your next trip. Don 👍🏽🤠

Since I put wheels on the fans, I've moved them to many different locations throughout the workshop with so much ease. Thanks for cheking out the video, Jeanie. Enjoy the week. Don 👍🏽🤠

Hey there Mech. It surely is a whole lot easier than lugging that dang fan around with a dolly. Take good care of yourself. Don 👍🏽🤠

Hey Don. That's a nice beefy looking fan, I'm sure the wheels will be a very welcome addition. Be a lot more likely to use it if you can just roll it over and plug it in rather than have to go get the dolly to move it. I was kinda hoping you had bought non locking wheels and it was gonna roll away when you turned it on. I didn't think you were that dim, but I hoped you might have had a moment lol I try and keep everything in the garage on wheels if I can.
Take care and have a great week

Hahaha, yup, I should have shown a video of the fan going haywire when the wheels aren't locked. Bruce, that did cross my mind and yes, I did turn my head to reposition the camera for a split second, and then my fan was rolling in its own path toward never-never land. That would have been one heck of a blooper vid. Alright my friend, take good care of yourself. Thanks for watching and the support. Don 👍🏽🤠

I think you'll be pleased with this fan from Harbor Freight. Just realize that it is a bit loud but I use it in my workshop which is not quiet safe zone (haha). Bottom line, I think you'll enjoy the performance of this HF 30 inch floor fan. Take good care of yourself, Andy. Don 👍🏽🤠

Hey there BK. Hope you're doing well. Not much going on here other than getting older and chopping off a lot of tree bark growing on my old bones (haha). Thanks much for stopping by and I'll see you cruising on another great new cool bike. Later my friend.

Thanks GeigerFarm for stopping by. Hope you're getting a sufficient amount of rain for your fields and for your animals. It's been drier than a bone here lately (SE NC). Of course, after mentioning that, it will probably turn into a dang monsoon season for several weeks🤣. Have a fine week. 👍🏽🤠

What are the wheels you got, and where?

Thanks for watching and commenting. I bought the four blue wheels from Amazon. I originally purchased four wheels from Lowe's but I did not like them b/c each wheel required four bolts to attach to the fan base. It's only been a month that I've had the blue wheels on my HF fans and they are absolutely PERFECT 😁. I've had to shift my fans in the workshop at least 20 times since installing the wheels and now the process is a piece of cake. Here's an Amazon link for the 4" blue wheels www.amazon.com/dp/B0BHYQWFH9?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1
Thanks again for watching, Keaton. Have a great upcoming weekend. 👍🏽🤠
