Your point about cartoon covers/spicy books for teens is something that really resonates. I have a similar history with romance that I felt was a positive impact on me, so I've never understood why that's an issue? Patents who care aren't going to "accidentally" allow their kid to buy a book they deem inappropriate and libraries aren't going to put adult books in kids or YA sections for them to "happen" upon. That argument has never made sense, besides it just not being an issue for anyone but the individual parent/guardian with their personal child.

Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it. And I'm happy I'm not the only one befuddled by this concern with teens "accidentally" reading romance. I think the buffer of a fictional story with fictional characters can really help some teens find a way to approach these topics with a trusted adult.
