please treat brake pots like you are handling a bomb.. if that rusty old clamp lets go.. yikes.. that spring will take your head clean off.. no joke.. several folks have been killed by those darn things.. if you ever decide to rebuild one.. make absolutely sure to fab a cradle like cage along with the cage bolt to hold back all the parts that will.. again.. want to take your head clean off.. NOT JOKING
THATS a new term!!!…..BRODY CLEANING!!!… its refreshing to see a young man take so much pride in simple BUT important tasks! And have such a high level of attention to detail.
For all the work you do getting about 2 videos + a week on air---Thank You! Of my 6 favorite sites, I can depend on only you for new stuff quickly. How some sites have so many subscribers and you guys sitting at 440K is amazingly sad. There are way too many people missing this great site. Your entire crew is awesome and your parents are great!
Thanks for another great video Chet. It was interesting for sure. Busy busy shop again today. That time of the year for maintenance and getting ready for spring work. Brody is one cleaning machine if I ever saw. He really gets whatever clean and looking nice. Really like the equipment you have in the wash bay. Brody has super equipment to work with and he enjoys cleaning the equipment up. Nice work Brody!!!!!!!!!! Quick fix on the truck that Steve drives. Good job Chet. Got the leaking brake chamber exchanged and working good again. All of you enjoy the big farm show. Will be lots of people attending I am sure. You all take care and be safe. Thanks for everything Chet. The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
Your content on your videos have kept me always watching all. I love your parents. I even watch your mom's videos. I see were the greatness you possess , From Mom and Dad. Please keep learning The new technology out there, as I have seen you do. You keep America, with the extremely hard work that you do for the greater America. Thank you.
Awesome video guys. It's always great to see all of you back in the shop. Seems like the calm before the storm. Can only hope you have a better spring than last year. 🚜🚜🚜
You guys should get the sure seal brake pots they last 10 times longer and don’t get dirt and dust in them which makes the rubber fail and piss air out. They aren’t that much more expensive and last way longer. Love the videos I don’t miss any of them keep up the good work
Hello- There is 1,800 lb. of force behind that E brake spring on that type 30 brake chamber that given enough injuries, heartache and heartbreak trying to repair a $5.00 rubber membrane that has been punctured that NO ONE repairs them any more. Besides if the failure was the rod has separated from the flat plate moving the service brake membrane you won't be repairing it at all. The rod is on the wrong side of the spring. One of life's little quirks. Have a good day.
Washing trucks is a workout in itself Brodie. It’s always nice to have rust considering all the crud we drive through in the winter time… ie the salt/sand and de-icing solutions they put down on the highways
You need a Nitrogen Generator (Molecular Sieve) and nitrogen accumulator tank for the tires at the shop. And the plasma cutter. 😊 You're welcome. 😊 10:17
Chet to take the bounce out of the cord reel use a piece of threaded rod and make a peice long enough to go in the bottom hole of the reel and goes in to the wall to brace it when you pull the cord output a rubber cap on the end against the wall so it doesn't scratch the paint on the metal siding. 2 nuts and washers on the reel to get it out to the wall and tighten it
You are so good at making a success of farming which is no easy thing. I love how clean and shiny you keep your equipment, especially the trucks. Can you explain what’s in that liquid which makes them shine? I’m a worry wart and all I can see is pfaffs (I’m in MI where they have destroyed several farms) which were touted to be good for agriculture (not the pfaffs but the material they were in) and have poisoned the land which can never be used for farming again.
Just a word of warning those brake chambers can be very dangerous, you can rebuild the back half. The safest way to deal with them is too just replace the whole canister, be safe have great year
if you take the bolt out of the band clamp you can put a new rubber in easily but don't even think of trying to take off the riveted band, that will release a spring capable of lifting a small car
I only get my hydraulic supplies from Quest Engineering out of Minneapolis. They are a .Parker dealership. The crimper on my service truck is capable of 1-inch 3 wire hose (4000 psi)
I enjoy watching you guys and how your videos are clean for my boys. Thanks! Also when changing brake chambers use the cage bolt and it makes life much easier. 😂
You guys sure like to scrub equipment haven’t you ever tried Red Ryder from Gaurdian Chemicals it’s foam that requires no scrubbing spray it on dry surface and wait 5 and rinse it’s amazing it doesn’t streak chrome. I don’t sell it I’m just passing along good info.
I have vacuum and mop robots. Both so a decent job but if there's something in the way that wasn't there the last trip, they kind of flip out and get lost. They eventually find their way back to their normal track.
if you put the pin in the slack adjuster the other way in , you kan remove it with a hamer\punch , now you have to pull it out and when it is rusted in there it can be difficult just a little tip
Don't mess with taking them brake chambers apart it's not worth your life. I seen a coworker get his head taken off by one. I also seen the spring go across a shop and though a brick wall and out the other side.
I was hoping you would post something about what softener you use. I bought a Hotsy this fall and need something so I don't have to wipe down the cars each time.
You can do it chet it the black pancake diaphragm I've done them before but it's dangerous to doubt in the long run your better off getting a new brake can
If you’ll get a small load of sand. Maybe 1 cubic yd and putting it near the building the cats will use it for their business. My barn cats prefer it as opposed to making the barn and their home smell
You should ring your drum with your wrench after you adj the slack. By doing that you Ck that the shoes are off the drum and not dragging and if your drum is cracked it won’t ring …..

Electric cord reel.
Put on beam with an angle behind it to break it from swinging over.

Congratulations on reaching 400K! That is truly an accomplishment that is well deserved.
I appreciate how much pride Brodie takes in keeping equipment clean!
Again a well equipped farm shop is a real asset to the farm.
I have terrible social anxiety, and it's nice you guys let me hang out for a half hour or so.
When Mr Clean grows up he wants to be Brody. What a hard worker!

It amazes me all of the repair-replacements your crew can know how to repair or replace or all of your equipment.
Be thankful for Brody, great worker and good dude😊

Took a gamble and bought the spot free system you guys use last year. Im still amazed how well that system works. Money well spent
Everything stops for a Larsons farm video

💪💞 great video guys l seem to learn more and more every new video. I'm from Stcloud MN .and miss farming. Thank you.
Pretty sure there is a hood assist kit for those long nose Pete’s. It’s basically a spring loaded hinge
Awesome video guys. It's always great to see all of you back in the shop. Seems like the calm before the storm. Can only hope you have a better spring than last year. 🚜🚜🚜
Brody should open a
farm equipment cleaning business since he likes cleaning so much

Broody! Great guy!
Hey guys. Next time you mount something on a beam. Check out beam clamps and uni strut. Work great for mounting on beams
N congrats to again on getting married. Way awsome.. n God bless!!
ENJOYED WATCHING THE VIDEO CHET AND BRODIE AND DOUGO and the Big Swede 😊
Brody deserves a raise
Thanks for another sweet video
Washing trucks is a workout in itself Brodie.
It’s always nice to have rust considering all the crud we drive through in the winter time… ie the salt/sand and de-icing solutions they put down on the highways
For heavy goods if there are spring assist to lift shorten the springs and they will have more pulling power. Enjoy watching you all.
For heavy hoods
Brody, got alot of polishing to do on those wheels and Tanks on that 379.
Thanks for sharing, always enjoy your videos.
A 2-1/2" fender washer under the cord reel mount bolt head will greatly reduce the bounce & bending fatigue.
Keep up the great work Chet
Good stuff guys
Congratulations to 400.000 Subscribers 🎉🎉🎉
Hey Chet,
It was a pleasure to meet all of you in Louisville. We were visiting the show from California.
That was quite an engineering scale you were measuring on that air tank thingy. Erik .. and flexible at that !
You need a Nitrogen Generator (Molecular Sieve) and nitrogen accumulator tank for the tires at the shop. And the plasma cutter. 😊 You're welcome. 😊 10:17
Take off the hitch receiver and put it in the cab. 15:21
Awesome video guys can't wait for the next one I really enjoy your videos and can we please get these guys one mill subs on here
nice ride long

Taking a brake chamber apart is hazardous to your health.
Thanks for the video.
Chet Dougo Eric Broodie that was great enjoyed itlot done got to get those repairs done have a great time at the farm show

Put a couple litter boxes in the building, cats might be attacted to them.
Congrats on 400K !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Eric you looking good working so hard. Now that's a good man ❤ vids and Chet you are pretty smart to like the sweed. Good day boys for know.

Different hood springs can make it easier to lift.
Always give it some antiseize every time you but on bolts..
spot - the leading edge of advertising there, I'd say.
Chet. You can buy piggy backs for brake chambers. So you only replace the pot of it and not the whole thing.
I only get my hydraulic supplies from Quest Engineering out of Minneapolis. They are a .Parker dealership. The crimper on my service truck is capable of 1-inch 3 wire hose (4000 psi)

I wonder how Larson’s ever became a successful multi generational farm without you telling them what they need to do? 🤡

Chet all the Milwaukee tools you got get a cordless mid size bandsaw to cut rod off and a plethora of other things without sparks and safety glasses
How do you know that they don’t have one?
Great show guys..Thanks
Great video. Nice shop. Good work. 👍❤️

just a little tip
Try stocking #30 piggy units instead of complete brake units you can change just the front and be done in 30 min and with lots less trouble
Larson farms is the best. 🤪
Don't mess with taking them brake chambers apart it's not worth your life. I seen a coworker get his head taken off by one. I also seen the spring go across a shop and though a brick wall and out the other side.
Those brake chamber are spring loaded. A buddy of my took one apart and it blew one side of his face off. They are very dangerous!!
400K Congratulations!!!
That's close parking chet. My toes were cringed the whole time. Lol awesome video
Brody is never going to reach that air hose 😂
Maybe you said, "Are you guys running two corn planters this year?" Thanks for the videos!
I was hoping you would post something about what softener you use. I bought a Hotsy this fall and need something so I don't have to wipe down the cars each time.
Set up a cat box that should help with your problem cats are clean if your give them a chance to be
Great video.
Finally 400k subs.Congratulations and keep the great videos coming
You can do it chet it the black pancake diaphragm I've done them before but it's dangerous to doubt in the long run your better off getting a new brake can
Keep the electric reel or hose reel from swinging into other things. Just put and angle. Maybe with a rubber stop on side you wash to stop.
Great video keep up great work
If you’ll get a small load of sand. Maybe 1 cubic yd and putting it near the building the cats will use it for their business. My barn cats prefer it as opposed to making the barn and their home smell
