Excited to get my donation rewards to get some of these goodies! It's super cool that the Player's Committee has kept this game going for 20 years now. Just think, even though four other companies have put out Star Wars card games since SWCCG went out of print, SWCCG is currently the most popular Star Wars card game.

SWCCG was everything back in the day...my first main was Yoda on my very first Dagobah pack I bought at Electronics Boutique. I flipped out 😂. My older friends that played way before me, immediately swarmed me to try and trade for it lol

Some how this vid poped up im my recomended vids and it reminded me that i still had a SWCCG First Anthology Box set.
If you need someone to play this with, as long as you have the decks, I'm 100% down to play.
I haven't played this in so long. I had a group of friends in high school in the '90s that all played. We used to get together every couple of weeks and stay up all night watching the original movies, trading, playing, and arguing about the rules. I stopped buying after Death Star II, because Phantom Menace started my slowly feeling like Star Wars was moving away from me. I just found all of my old cards the other day... so many boxes. I spent waaaay too much '90s money on that, but I sure had fun!
I remember around 2003 trading a Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker, Lord Vader, and Emperor Palpatine from Death Star II for some video games from a friend. I believe I got Ninja Gaiden III, Final Fantasy, and Joe & Mac for NES, 7th Saga and Ogre Battle for SNES, and Breath of Fire III, Breath of Fire 4, and Wild Arms 1 & 2 for Playstation. Fortunately, I bought so much Death Star II that I still have 3 Lord Vaders, 2 Emperors, and a Jedi Luke left, I wasn't really out anything I needed to play!
I stopped giving a rats ass about grading cards last year ago when both PSA and CGC replied back to me that they have no (on short term) plans to accept Star Wars CCG and Star Trek TCG. When these big "important to collectible" companies willing decline to validate condition of one of the biggest IP's in the world; Star Wars, but do decide to grade and accept card games that aren't even out yet for a year (MetaZoo) it's damn broken.
I do see auctions for graded cards on ebay. I wonder if they changed their stance?
@@mynocksoup I have noticed a few graded cards by things they do not officially grade. And I feel it's just PSA being the corrupt dogs they are, grading cards for big parties (those guys that send in 100k cards a year and than cry about 200 day turnover) and "doing them a favour". I recently seen SMPratte, the guy behind the Pokemon Illustrator him (and massive regrading) list a Dragon Ball GT TCG Tournament Card. PSA doesn't grade them, Beckett doesn't. Yet there it was. I mail in my question about these early 2000s TCG from UpperDeck, Decipher, Score Entertainment every 2 months. And in February the reply from the 3 major grading companies was still a big NOPE
PSA definitely grades Star Wars CCG cards… I have many of them!
The nostaliga is strong with this one....and me, such a great game and memories! The marketing material for this game was some of the best out there.
I loved that rush. My first main pull was Ben Kenobi in SE. But I bought a pack of Ref 3 on ebay for $17 bucks about around 15 years ago and got a freaking Maul Coruacant AI foil! Ugh. Miss this game.
