I think it would be nice uf you did a vid exclusively about the Chagos islands? Maybe interview the leaders? This story deserves more recognition
I agree. I do hope to make a video like that. 🙂
This was pretty interesting. You really put some work into the research. I appreciate that!
Thank you! And thanks for commenting too! 🙂
This is why I'm subscribed to your channel, I would never find this information anywhere else, thanks Fredo.
Wow, thanks! This is a story that needs telling in my opinion, but it's a video that I think will struggle a bit. It's nice to know there are some people who value it. 🙂
Very good video on a very niche topic. Also, thanks for the Jesse Ventura clip!
Thanks very much, I'll glad you liked it! And thanks for watching and commenting. 😀
The story of the Chagossian People is one that needs a prompt resolution now. Very pronto.
I mean, how could this be allowed?
Mr Rockwell great to see another upload from you
Thanks for watching and commenting!
I always assumed the input output meaning for the domain and therefore thought it was cool. This is one of your better vids 👌imho
Thanks! It felt like an important video to make. I hope it gets seen by more people eventually!
Another great video. I guess the goal for now is to bring pressure to get the revenue from the domain transferred to the Chagossian community, but even that might be difficult seeing as we don't really know where it goes.
I agree, that would be a great start! I don't think there's much confusion about where the money starts. If there wasa real determination to redirect the money to the Chagossian people, I'm pretty confident it could be done.
Thanks so much for watching and commenting! 😀
Interesting goal! However, there is an interesting question to ask: who profits from this? I'm sure we would like to know! After all, knowing this would make your goal easier to implement. Thanks for the suggestion!
Good video! I actually live in Bellevue and it’s not a massive shock that shady shit goes here considering a lot of companies operate in the state since it has a very regressive tax system, and Bellevue is home to a lot of wealth
Really glad you liked it! Just wondering, is Donuts Inc a well known name in Bellevue? It seems to control a LOT of the internet's TLDs.
@@FredoRockwell Honestly I’ve never heard of it before. I just looked online and It’s headquarters are in the Bellevue place which is a building that hosts a bunch of different businesses. So I doubt there’s a lot of people in Bellevue that actually work for them/have heard about them.
Thanks for looking! That's really interesting!
🇮🇴 at least they have a cool flag
That they do, I'll grant you!
What the heck happened? This video has only 45 views?
My channel is relatively small still, and this is a niche subject. I hope it will get plenty of views because of the subject matter, but I made it knowing it might but catch fire immediately. I just felt it was a story that needed telling. Thanks for watching it!
More people should see this video!
I would like that very much!
ok, thanks! ...how about Tonga's .to tld?
I've never looked into that one. Is there a problem with Tonga receiving the revenue?
@@FredoRockwell none of which i would be aware.. price is somehow higher.. and i am afraid of having my domain registrar becoming a Sponge Bob's relative's neighbour.. because i don't think servers usually float.. and there was a 🌋
I don't think the ccTLD necessarily determines where the servers are. And actually, domain registry and hosting are regularly provided by different countries. So I don't think you'd have any problems using .to.
@@FredoRockwell its a national domain name and we haven't had that many lost nations/states (sporting their top level domains) since the introduction of domain name system, so i don't know what happens once they sink, but nothing good for sure.
@nescius2 The Soviet Union discourages disappeared 33 years ago, but you can still get a .su domain.
