I think you two made setlist mistakes live in regards to the feelings and original work of Alice Glass. You should have kept her songs, even Crimewave as were melodized by her, out of the sets. However I do agree that Edith Frances is a talent and that so are you if this is the real Ethan Kath but I hope you see your mistake. You two should have finished recording an entire original repertoire for your sets before touring. It's my honest opinion. I not only think it was insensitive but that Edith often did not do those songs justice because she does not have the right to do so in spirit rather than by any technicality of them having been your songs as well.
I also believe you have just as much of a believable public voice and that you should have defended her claims without going to authorities. Like there are interviews that have been publicized in the past 10 years where you talk about selling drugs with her as a minor. I don't even know how you dare walk into a law office or any authority of its kind and you should drop the charges before you both go down. You are one of the best LSDJ artists in the world. Whatever you did to milk that pokechip is like the sound of my dreams but what you've done recently is foolish and you opened up a can of worms from what we can see. You should just leave Alice Glass alone, remove her work from the Crystal Castles set and carry on with your life. & you've already from what it seems made that a lot harder so honestly I think you put yourself at the most stake of anyone when you decided to sue Alice Glass.
Your best songs in live sets as of 2015 are any that were written past then. Untrust Us is yours because the vocals are sampled as an example but this is Alice Glass' song. This is not Edith Frances' song.
katheter Like use the same instrumentals even but just have her switch up Alice Glass' melodies and lyrics and you'll get a new response from me because I could care less how good she is or how much effort she or yourself put in. If it's the same song as the original duo and Alice wrote the lyric or came up with the melody then it will never feel right.

Edith > Alice No contest during live performances, as for studio recordings we can't tell yet since CC hasn't produced Edith versions of all their old songs. Alice was all energy but no rhythm, she also loses control live; Edith is more professional and she has better control of her energy. The lower voice and shriek contrast is also good, it's more like sirens blaring instead of auto-tuned shrieking, it gives that sense of urgency like storms are coming-- then she shrieks at the right moment, mind blown.

The "out of control" style you described is exacrtly what made Alice's performances so wild. That's what got me loving their lives. It was completely raw and chatoic man it was awesome
No, she doesn't. Alice was in the crownd not singing, Edith is ON STAGE, actually SINGING. Nothing alike. Alice did not invet goth style or wild dances or black lipstic, with all due respect, you just see what you want to see, blinded by hatred and prejudice - everything that CC IS NOT
