The sound mixing that you hear on a webcast is also different than what actually comes out of the PA at the festival... Don’t take my word for it, just compare what you hear here to fan-shot videos of this same show. On a webcast they usually send an outboard mix of what’s coming through the FoH to a remote van, which they can then mix in with the audience mics however they so please to. That then goes through the stream. I’m sure actually being there has a lot more punch to it, the frequencies are cut here pretty heavily. Keep in mind that the drum kit IS LIVE, which means the engineer is cutting the necessary frequencies from it so that the sound of it which comes out of the PA is a fraction of what you’d hear were you actually there in the audience.
It’s because she’s singing through a vocoder, she could be making any sound and the same note will come out, Ethan is playing the notes on the keyboard that is synchronized with whatever comes through her mic. Google vocoder
