- Hiya since I'll be in irleand almost all of July. I wanted to show an updated version of my fairy books. I cant wait to be in Ireland and be on some fairy forts. I am hoping to add some more books to my collection. Any questions ask me ^__^ ☆☆☆

This made me cry a little with delight. I hope to have a lovely collection like that at some point. Brian frouds art just makes my wee heart dance! Hope you have a nice trip to Ireland. Im from cambridge uk. An i see faeries quite often. They really like to leave me walnut shells for me to find when i walk my dogs. And i see them twinkle in the corner of my eyez hopping is and of of the tree lines along the fields.
Awww that is truly incredible ember moonbeam!!!!! I love meeting ours that are drawn and can see fae too! Ive seen fae since I was very younge. I use to have even one "invisible friend" who I called friendy. Who my family thought at 1st was just a pretend friend until my friendy started to tell me things that I shouldn't of known. Like people gettin divorces. Anyway I still am surrounded by them in my home. And fae activity picks up for my home in the fall. I am happy you enjoyed looking at my book collection and it made your heart dance. I hope that you will get your own book collection because I can tell you are someone who would truly value them and cherish them. I truly had a lovely time in Ireland I can't wait to return. I traveled all the middle of Ireland. Next time I'd like to do the northern part.
beautiful collection! i would Totally recommend getting "Brian Froud's world of faerie" It's a beautifully stunning culmination of his work, just bought it recently and i can't get enough of it.

The Dark Crystal, Labyrinth and the cartoon Gnomes. I watched them a lot as a kid.
A lot of these older nordic Scandinavian fairy tales my grandparents told me as a kid. Gnomes and such was believed. Some are scary. Trolls and goblins seemed very really really real to me as a child, walking in the dark woods.
You saw faes dancing in the mist over the meadow, and you know that if you joined them in the dancing you would never return.
Oh to have the money to buy all those!!
It has taken me years. I also ask for bday or Christmas gifts from my family to get me these books because on my own I couldnt of gotten them all. They are beautiful books and I feel blessed to have them

Time-life has a 21 book set from 1982 called " The Enchanted Would" with all kind of books you might like some I have are..... Fairies and Elves, Dwarfs, Magical Beasts, Fabled Lands, and rest I have you might not like so I want name. I got mine off Esty but eBay might have them. IDK. You can find them from $7 to 15$ on the cheap end but more 💰 if you want to spend it. I don't have all the set. I'm still working on it.

I used to read it as a child and just get lost in it.
Have you seen the new dark crystal on nerflix ? What do you think ?
Oh yes! I have seen it the week it was released on netflix. I thought that it was done tasteful. And the characters are closer to the drawings that Brain Froud did. I think that the series also helps people that were confused about the movie. It fills in more holes and gives a visual to them.
So what are your thoughts on ‘The fairies Oracle’?
And how/ what book I can read to get closer to fairies?
The fairies oracle cards, are differently something I had to work with. I use my intuition on them and what I am feeling. I usually use them when I am working on a life event or struggle. Not really the type of cards for doing love reading per'se. There also extremely beautiful and well made.
I would recommened starting with faeries brian froud book. It use to be very pricey now you can buy it for $10 or less on eBay. They have redone copies of it mean times. It goes into detail on fae, their lives what and who they are. And if fairy tales like grim brothers is your thing, the blue fairy book is amazing. You can get a new copy at Barnes and noble. It's based off a 1800s book of the same name.
There are books on summoning fairies to you and in your home. I definitely wouldn't recommend that. Fairies are beautiful and mischievous beings. With my family I've been around fae all my life. I can tell you that for people not use to that staying in my home during "active" months it's overwhelming. My active times are spring and fall. Simple things like stuff hidden or items going missing happens daily. Other things like ghost kinda phenomenon goes on. Sounds, slamming of doors, chatter, things breaking. Its never harmful to me or scary. And when this happens it usually is fae wanting offerings like sweets and candy. Or wanting me to stop being depressed or lazy. Lol
I have had friends leave though from being scared or feeling unwelcome. Each time it resulted in these people weren't good people for me like had bad attentions and fae knew it before I did. Lol it's different for me since these are family related creatures. So they have been in my family tree for centuries.
I would never tell someone to go out inviting them in. Not every fae is bad or good, in reality there like people you meet some who love you and some who are jealous or hate you. One also can not "control" anyone, people.. fae or otherwise. Fae is also the masters of the tongue. Meaning any deal you make with them they will find a way to twist it to their needs and never your needs.
Many tales talk about women wanting a child of their own. When she asks the fae they give her a baby boy as she wishes. Only this fae never grows up he will stay a fae baby forever. So simple things like that always go a miss. It isn't because the fae enjoy toying with humans it's more a concept of different cultures different beliefs.
