Lexus Rx350 Grille removal and fsport grille installation

- How I removed a grille on a 2017 lexus rx 350. I installed a fsport grille I purchased from ebay (item # 53111-0E190-53155-0E010). This is how I did it, I am not responsible for damages you may cause to the vehicle you are working on.

Great video. Bought the same grill off ebay a few years ago and finally got around to doing the job. The hard part is getting the grill separated from the chrome trim without breaking any tabs. Mission accomplished but it was a pain and took every bit of 3 hours. RX looks awesome though, worth it if you have the tools and inclination.

Great video. For some reason the service department was basically telling me that it couldn’t e done without replacing the bumper.

Great video. We are doing this right now and the hardest part IS getting the grill off the bottom of the bumper to install the new grill. We were able to remove it from the top, but the bottom won't budge. Did you have this problem and if so, any recommendations? TYIA

The OEM part No. is 53111-OE190. It is just one part. You commented to some one below that there is an upper grill and lower grill. Is there another part that you used??? Thank you
What about the rear diffuser? is it a straight swap from the f sport rear valence to the base model rear diffuser?

Bro, this is way more labor intensive than I thought it would be. I have the same car and wanted to install the F Sport grille as well. How much do you think

I'm so glad I found your video!!! I've been wanting to do this for a while. However, I'm going to try to do a full conversion with the lip as well. I'm trying to go the OEM way, but it's pretty expensive. Apparently, I need 11 parts that are roughly $2k all together. Did you have any issues with the sensors? I have the luxury package on my 2017, so I would need the grill that has the camera hole also.
The sensors were pretty simple, you just have to remove an extra bracket and move them a bit. Once you get into you will see. I think I mentioned it in the video. As far as the camera grille it's available from what I know. Best of luck on the mod.

I have a 2016 RX 450H, and the lower chrome trim piece that surrounds the grill is damaged. Do you have any footage of removing that? Great video.
No I do not, once the grille is out the trim comes off as the grille screws into it.
Looks really good! Can you just use the original radiator grill seal or do you need to purchase this seal (53155-0E010)?
I only ordered the grille. It is 2 pieces, a upper and a lower. I ordered it from ebay a couple of years ago and I don't know if the part # you mentioned is the same. But it still looks nice and fit perfectly.
Thank you for your video. I currently have a 2018 RX 350L and I am trying to upgrade the grill. Was this grill a one piece grill or were there an upper grill and a lower grill that you ordered and have to put them together?
Upper and lower, 2 pieces that go together to make 1.

It should be as the only difference the rx450 is the hybrid. The part I ordered is in the description. Hope that helps.

Yes you only need the upper and lower fsport grille. No special modifications needed. The parking sensors are the only things that need adjustment.
I looked around and used the part numbers you mentioned. In all cases, the sellers told me that it wouldn't fit a non-FSport lexus. Any other ideas on the one you purchasd for this project? Thanks!

Where did you get the grill? The grill I got the lower chrome piece didn’t fit. It has to be F sport chrome. Took everything out and the. It was a waste of time for me. Returned the grill.

I have a question for you. I have a 2016, and the bottom does not match up with the new bottom portion of the grill. You don't show this going back together is there another part you have to purchase?

My Lexus front symbol cracked from a rock. How do i swap it without taking off bumper.
Might be kinda hard but at about 6:23 I talk about taking off them emblem. I would think taking off the top plastic cover, the first step and seeing if you can access the emblem.
Is there a specific order that you installed the grill and chrome pieces? I have a gap on the bottom between the grill and bumper
I don't remember, I'm going off the video and I said, I installed the trim last.
How to remove top bolts? Mine are not budging. Snapped 1 off.

Did you have to deal with reset/calibrating the parking sensors? Any issues with the front camera?
For the replacement I bought, my dealer tech told me it wouldn't fit (I bought a 3rd party single unit piece that the seller said would fit on my base 2018 RX350). Dealer tech had already removed the bumper when he discovered this and showed it to me.
This is a 2 piece unit. No I didn't have to re calibrate the front sensors and my rx does not have a front camera although the grille does have a removable section for the camera.
Great video btw but I did have problem with my parking sensors now that I have installed the new grille. I’m trying to figure out how to recalibrate , any suggestions would be welcomed !
Did you have to have a sensor calibration done after taking the bumper off? This body shop told me the crash sensor would need to be recalibrated and that it ranged from $500 to $1000 !!!

I replaced my grille and now the parking sensors are not working, dash I keeps saying parking sensors malfunctioning and the ICS system is malfunctioning. Do you have a video on how to recalibrate your sensors ?

You know you have to calibrate the 360 camera thats a safety issue. It works with the over camera system. Im assuming you have 360 camera.

To change the chrome trim on grill do you have to take off the bumper Thanks
Yes it is held on with a few screws and clips that you can only access with the bumper removed.

I don't as I purchased this almost 2 years ago but I think that some thing that says Fits 2016-2019 Lexus RX350 RX450H should work but I am only coming from my experience and purchase.

Sounds like you didn't remove them correctly or re install them correctly.

No you have to use the original one's that came with the vehicle.

I installed mine and the lower grilled is up and it shows more big holes gaps, how can I close those hole gap?

@@hobbytimediy7185 the second part lowers grill open hole, it’s didn’t touch all the way bottom of lower chrome grill but how can I close those gap hole grill? Also I ordered up and lower grill and mine didn’t come with clip connect with grill, how can I connect with upper and lower grill?
@@naraton3889 I don't know mine fit just perfect they all snapped right in. No gaps no holes.......
The reason you're having that problem is that you used OEM F sport grille parts and the OEM lower won't work on a non F sport front end. The F sport lip hides that gap you're referring to. You need an aftermarket grille that looks like the OEM F sport grille, but is made for a standard front end. Hopefully that makes sense.

I didn't order it from this exact person. I did however order a aftermarket fsport grille and it's pretty much a plug and play as u see in the video.
