The Summer Crochet Top is a simplistic design that creates two rectangular pieces, front and back.
This pattern stitch is worked from the main body bottom to top lace in two rectangular pieces.
Then a slip stitch ribbing is added along each bottom piece. Last, it’s seamed together at the sides and top shoulders.

I love fingering yarn!!! Thanks for making it easy!!!
Beautiful design! ❤
I am loving this, I must give it a try.
Precioso!😍Gracias por compartir tu trabajo.
❤😊 just bought the pattern now to pick the yarn thank you❤❤❤
I think my problem is that I love everything you make, but don’t have the time to make it all. (That doesn’t mean I’m not already yarn shopping for this project- hehehehe) Seriously though, thank you for making such beautiful designs and putting in the time to make such easy to follow tutorials!
My next top project. I made one ( different style) with bamboo yarn. It's so soft and I look forward to wearing it this summer
Beautiful!!!!!!❤️
Beautiful u made my day with summer tops thanks 🙏🏿 love ❤️ it blessings
This is so lovely. I might dread using a small yarn with the moss stitch, but since I have it in my stash and spring is a few months away... by spring I should have a new summer top! Thank you.
Ooh, I think I'm going to try fingering weight. Beautiful work ❤
Thank you looks easy
Love this cute simple top. Saw it on your website & love it immediately...I made one using Premier Cotton Fair from my stash & it turned out really nice. Received many compliments. Highly recommend.Thank you very much!
I ❤ this!
Magnifico ❤❤❤
Gracias muy sencillo y excelente explicación.
Thanks for this beautiful pattern. I’m just frustrated because of the edges that i never get that beautiful straight like yours. Some tricks?😊
Beautiful wauw👍🏻☀️
I love this top. Instead of doing a gauge swatch, I measured my bust at 36", so could I just chain both panels at 18"s each? Or 19"s to be on safe side? Like I can hold it up to me after a few rows to see where the sides would meet for seaming? And if it is stretchy yarn, I would just stick with the 18"s wide or maybe even 17"s wide for each panel . Does that make sense?
I don't do gauge swatches...figured I didn't need to..I was wrong and just did chains like you have said and ended up with panels that are too large or small. I always forget about stretching etc. I have 4 wips that I have to frog. You'd think I would have learnt.
اreally appreciate ❤
I love this sweater .can you tell me how many stitches i need to start with for a large plz ty
Hi, pretty top but I can’t figure out how many yards I need for a large/xlarge top
hi love this pattern but i find the number of chains for the L & Xl please help me
❤❤❤
Hi how many balls of each colour do I need for small thanks
Would you change anything in the pattern if you start with a ribbing?
The side before seaming, do we do single crothet all over the side of just leave it as it is?
Thank you Briana for such a nice top! I have a question: Can we add a short sleeve to it??
If you wanted to work around the sleeve opening I believe you could
Briana, I bought the pattern but when I do the recommended number of chains44 for a large, the chain fits around me like a blanket. I have a 44" full bust and a 44" inch hip. What number of chains should I do for a 3 weight yarn 4mm hook? My width is 22" half body circumference and the chain is just too wide. Please advise. Thanks, I can't find where to email you. I have also purchased 4 of your classes.
First I would start by doing a gauge swatch, sometimes the chain row isn't always the best indicator of how wide something might be. I have more information on how to do a gauge swatch and what to do if your swatch doesn't match the gauge in the pattern: brianakdesigns.com/what-is-crochet-gauge-and-how-to-fix-it/
Why do you start with a chain and not a Foundation stitch? Wouldn’t the chain make the bottom border restricting?
