I've ruck 35lbs for 5kms every alternating days and mix it up with push ups against walls/balustrades. I'm 6'1', 200pounds and after three weeks didn't lose a single pound but gained 3.5kgs of muscles according to my smart scale. My gut is smaller too. Its amazing

I've been rucking for about 2 years now. I ran for years, but it really started to beat me up as I got older. I'm also not built like a "runner" (6'4" 240). Rucking has been a great addition to my fitness routine. I know my home state, and it looks like you're rucking in NJ.

    • @CoachHelder

Hello, I would suggest getting cleared by a medical pro.
From there, take a few hikes without a pack. Focus on distance not time. Once you are comfortable with that distance, add your rucksack with very little weight. From there, increase the weight in your pack by a pound or 2 each week or every couple of weeks.
I am actually working on a rucking program. It should be live within the next 2 months.
