The excessive spending after the killings is indicative of PTSD and one of the ways in which people deal with their trauma and grief. What the brothers did to their parents was bad, but what the parents did to their kids was pure evil. The dad sexually and mentally abused the boys very frequently while the mother did nothing to stop him and even contributed to the mental abuse. The parents had it coming for them. The boys may have had many different ways to handle the situation but the constant fear that their dad would ruin their lives if they filed a report (the dad literally told them this) would have been immense. The boys could have handled this much better, such as not going on a money spending spree and admitting right away, but you cant blame them for trying to get revenge on their parents and the amount of anger that they felt. In the end, they dont deserve life sentences without parole, they deserve 10 years and therapy. They should be out by now. But its even sad to see that the brothers dont really mind prison, as they would be content with any life without their parents. I hope their appeal this year goes well.

It will be interesting if their retrial is granted.
As far as them killing the mum, as someone whose parent was molested by their father I was more angry at my grandma than him. I understood he was sick, but I couldnt as a parent forgive my grandma for not protecting her children. She even treated my mom like competition like wtf. My grandma resented a child for being molested... smh 😔

The second judges objectivity should be questioned. It’s clear that they entered the case with their own biases
