As someone who worked with horses, some tame, some not so tame for 4 years.. I can confirm that most horsie people are fucking crazy and totally oblivious to the danger. Oh I enjoyed horse riding, but I can never enjoy horse rising the way horsie people do. To them it was a lifestyle, to me it was just a job with some fun perks.

A respectable horseman /woman would NEVER put a beginner on a horse without them having the security of having their feet in the stirrups ( and always wearing a helmet.) I'm sorry that happened to you. That must've been scary. There are many responsible horse owners/trainers that would never have put you in that position. 💛. A horse can kill a person in many situations.... The horse can have a puppy dog personality, but they are prey animals and one bad scare/spook, and because of their size/speed/power, the rider could be dead, experienced or not. Horse riding is not to be taken lightly. I'm so glad you made it out okay. 💛
I went horse riding once never again the girl I went with said tell them you know how to ride. So I did & they gave me a big horse. I never been on a horse ever.
