Fidias is probably the only guy who makes a 7days trip in a diffrent country and didnt bring money and still managed to get trough with fun
My late grandfather said that when he was drafted into the USSR army in the 50s, he traveled by train for 2 weeks - from Minsk to Krasnaya Gavan (this is somewhere closer to Sakhalin). Along the way, they also took away all sorts of military.
The one thing that I slightly cringe at whenever I watch these videos is that Fidias asks a lot of people who are much less wealthy that him to pay for his food. Something that I think would make the videos much nicer to watch is if he gets the contact information of the people that helped him and and at least pays them back. Otherwise the vids are great

I took the TransSiberian years ago and had a great time. I was in first class but actually spent more time in second class because there were more young people there. In first class it was mostly older couples.
