fun fact: kinan, our extremely talented colorist, had no idea what a lava lamp was until we brought this footage to him. he was like, "what's that weird, like... sci-fi orb thing in the back? is that practical, or is that VFX?" i am pleased to report that he now has no less than three separate lava lamps in his office (and this one still sits in my living room)

This hits different. I've learnt alot, and tbh this is a mirror of today's relationships.mine as well before.(p.s not a serial killer) it wont work well unless you both respect boundaries. I love the idea that this short film symbolizes killing as the bad things you both do. Got misunderstood but Ended up choosing her partner.

Oh yeah and i have to say the very beginning...I loved the metachrome (is that what its called...i was fascinated by the things that you banged on one side and they banged back and forth...in the San Francisco store...magnet things...and the piano metre) in the background as he was talking and I was thinking he was talking to his honey and then he gets up and we see his p.o.v and I am like "what?!" and i almost burst out laughing...and then i am like "there is something wrong with me!"

hi there! so me and mae have been friends with rob forever - he was a child star who played this nickelodeon character called coconut head back in the day. he mostly works as a producer and director now, but he thought it'd be fun to return to acting for a little one-off. i met bevin when i directed her in a music video back in 2016 - it's called "lost kings - phone down," you can look it up! and then john (the therapist) was the only one who auditioned via self-tape, he was referred to me by a good friend.
