Inspired by the movie 'Peaky Blinders', I decided to sew myself a stylish shelby cap like Cillian Murphy has in this movie. 🤔😎😃💡
So, today I invite you to see how I did it ...
I can't say it was easy. Especially the moment of assembly. 😜I could not neatly sew the line of the visor, and therefore decided to sew it manually. If you are not afraid of sewing with your hands, then go ahead. 😉 But actually the process was so enjoyable.
I am very pleased with the result, even more than!

Great throwback hat! In the early 70’s, I made scads of these from recycled jeans! Used the pockets, rivets and logo tags. They were awesome 😎
Best tutorial I've seen on this project, AND the only one I've seen with the all-important fastening on the peak! I'm going to try making one out of an old sport jacket. Should be fun.
The best thing about the Peaky blinders is that these caps, the newsboy, has come back into style.

In America this is referred to as a newsboy hat. Fascinating to see different names from different countries.
Wow - this is brilliant and so is the finished cap. I have been wearing baker-boy caps for years and have been looking to replace mine bur most out there are a bit too much like a flat cap - this is perfect!

a suggestion, i haven't seen a video on the classic "Crusher cap", or "garrison cap", maybe you could do some in the future?ive been trying to make a pilot costume for the past forever, but crusher reproductions online are simply so expensive, id love to see how they are made! if conditions are favorable..

Hello. I love your work, it's wonderful. But I do wish to ask a question. I want to make the same cap, but I have a 62 cm diameter head. What do you suggest to modify in the measures. This is not a progression as in other clothing types. Thank you very much for your time and congratulations again!

Hola. Me encanta tu trabajo, es maraviloso. Pero deseo hacer una pregunta. Quiero hacer una gorra igual, pero tengo 62 cm. de diámetro de cabeza. Que sugieres modificar en las medidas. Thanks for your clear and concise tutorial. I don't understand why I start out with the fabric cut perfectly & end up with a hat that's to big. I measured.. perfect. Does the fabric stretch?? Drives me crazy. This is not the 1st hat that it has happened with. Can someone please explain why??
