She's brilliant. And her performance in the first season was criminally underrated.
Rick agreed! I personally wanted her to win over Laura at the Emmy’s. Not taking anything away from Laura cause she was also great, but I felt more for Shailene’s character.

Anyone else love how they don’t cut one another off and genuinely are interested and have respect for what each other has to say. Oftentimes when I sit with down with a group, I get cut off and talked over. They bounce off each other in the most cohesive way.

So many people judge actors for not going to college or even finish highschool, find excuses for themselves by saying those made it and are rich and famous and all that, but every time I watch interviews where actors describe a film or their character I'm amazed by the they talk, like they finished college, got a master's degree and a PhD.

I'm not the person to watch anything that involves drama between upperclass white women. But this show is some good shit. A cinematography so perfect that it makes me feel the sea breeze in every scene; the complex acting, and an atmospheric equivalence of a perfume commercial. It really makes you feel something.
That was literally the first thing that I noticed about this show and one of the top reasons why I'm hooked to it - the Cinematography! It's strange no one really talks about it as much as they appreciate the acting but the direction and cinematography of the show is TRULY out of the world!!!! And I think it's editing is so fine and polished it must be taught in film schools.... It's a masterpiece!

I LOVE rountables like this. I'm so glad this is becoming a thing now with lot's of different shows. It's so insightful hearing the actresses views and opinions on the roles they're portraying - it's like a glimpse into their take on things and how/why certain scenes are acted the way they are. LOVE. LOVE. LOVE. Thank you HBO!

Vienna banana I think maybe we have been carefully taught by society to think that...but I don’t see it. I see real women acting like real women, not caricatures. These are successful, emotionally mature women who have enough life experience to be choiceful about how they proceed in this. Why can’t THIS be what we expect?
This show is perfect in every single way. I love each and every character. Even the characters that you love to hate. So much talent in one room. It really is amazing.. The production,plot,message,set location,direction,acting,soundtrack and just everything is so sophisticated and made so beautifully. It feels so indulgent to watch to me. Love these women! ❤️
I can't believe I'm alive now, able to accompany and inspire me in these incredibly strong and exemplary women that make me even more willing to continue fighting more each day. I am very grateful and honored for can see them acting together. And for Meryl: YOUR EMMY IS COMING, MY QUEEN!
Zoe is so stunning And I look forward to watching her character unravel and find peace in season two. I hope the writers do that for her character.

Being a great actor is one thing . And being able to psycho-analyse and dissect the character into a meaningful conversation is altogether another thing. Very few actors/actresses possess a chimera of BOTH qualities.
Personally i feel Nicole Kidman is one of those rare actresses, she has great intellectual insights to every and any character she studies and subsequently plays.
S.Sarah Nicole yes, but Meryl is the master of that, she’s the most experienced, after all.
This is the best show. The best. Also, Zoe looks so beautiful.

A spectacular conversation about Big Little Lies and the perspective in which the "leading ladies" have approached this story and their characters. It convinces me that the more actors discuss with each other and support each other the better the film. The cast of BLL is amazing and it shows.
The rawness and realness took my breath away. For possibly the first time, I had no idea, couldn't guess, which way things would turn. I know all these women.
That one instance when background music (however loud) complemented the video.
This cast. This show. Soooo beautiful. I find myself checking every few weeks if there is a rewewal for season 3 yet...

This show is one of the best TV dramas I've ever seen. It's addictive. I've watched it art least three times! It's one of those shows that you never want to end. The acting is top notch and the photography is breathtaking.

This show, the seasons it reminds me of listening to a really good album. Storylines that mimic tracks that in the end just flow so well together. I love it all.
The actual album for season 1 was on repeat for me.
