  • Minerals are the foundation of geology. Minerals are built from elements and combine to forms rocks.     Tetrahedron silicates are not connected by O-O bond, they share an Oxygen atom. And also Octa means 8 not 6. Sorosilicates are not octhedrons, they share one oxygen, with the chemical formula Si2O7(-6)
