i think One for My Enemy had the characters listed like that because typically at the start of plays, especially Shakespeare, they list out the characters and their relationships!! it helps so much i love it ❤️

Okay i've definitely gotta get out of my slump in july , ive read 2 books over the last two months , july has to be my month - gonna take in some of these recs for sure !
my favourite book I read in june was practice makes perfect lol. it was a 5 star for me while when in rome was more of a 3 star, which is what's so interesting to me about these books bc it seems like everyone loves one and finds the other just mid. personally I wasn't a big fan of noah but I LOVED will (and ofc annie was a lovable and relatable mc) and you could tell sarah has grown as a writer so much with this one, especially with the banter

I just read the very secret society of irregular witches which is a cosy fantasy and was so good! Sweetest found family and similar to house on the cerulean sea with adorable children

A new 2023 release that i read in june was 'Yellowface' by R.F Kuang. SO GOOD. 5 stars for sure.

if books make me uncomfortable, instantly they're 4 or 5 star read (my dark vanessa) because that's what works of literature are supposed to do, idk maybe it's the literature grad inside me, i recommend the bell jar if you haven't read it though

I think Practice Makes Perfect might be my fav romance of the year so far. I keep thinking about it a week after i read it haha I need to buy a physical copy. Glad you still enjoyed it enough! Im looking forward to a hopefully third When in Rome book...
Daughter of the Moon Goddess by Sue Lynn Tan!!! Absolute solid 5 star read. Fabulous worldbuilding and incredibly lovable characters. I loved it sooooo much. I even got through the sequel Heart of the Sun Warrior in June also!

I JUST finished clockwork princess. I physically read clockwork angel and listened to clockwork prince and clockwork princess. Historical novels are not my favorite but in order to prepare for the LAST series EVER I do plan to read the last hours.
I’m the exact same way when it comes to Allie Hazelwood. Love theoretically was sooo good 🤩
“Romeo and Juliet” was insta-love, so I’d expect a book that is a retelling to be insta-love. I still want to read it, but thanx for the warning.
I deicided to read The Grace Year after I finished Happy Place, I feel like it will be a five star for me because I loveeedddd The Hunger Games!
Every heart a doorway is an amazing fantasy that doesn’t focus on war/politics it’s more cosy !!

My favourite book of June was Kingdom of Ash - such an incredible end to the series and I’m now totally obsessed with TOG! Didn’t think it was possible to love anything more than ACOTAR but TOG might just have the edge 😂 Also listened to Never Forget You by Fiona Lucas on audible. Not a book I’d heard anything about but definitely recommend!

My favorite book from June is "The Last Housewife" by Ashley Winstead. It was such a pleasant surprise. Didn't expect to love it as much as I did. (it wasn't a 5 star though; i'm very picky when it comes to those)

The crow folk is a very hidden cosy fantasy. I’ve never heard of anyone who’s read it, the audiobook is fab. Twin crowns isn’t a cosy fantasy but it’s a great low stake fantasy
