And I don't feel there should be a reason for me to feel the desire to change something about myself that doesn't really affect anyone else except me. @Ares There's sort of a saying that gay people kind of don't age well in terms of the community, like there's sort of the underlying perception that twinks have a cut off point of like 25 years old.
So in conclusion I think being in the gay community is tons of fun whilst you're young, but not so much when you get older. and you'll find younger people can be quite rude about it. Straight people don't have the problem to as much of a large degree as the gays but they do have issues with it sometimes too.

Recently, he contacted me & apologized, saying: he"come out" & admitted that he had, had a crush on me! He said, he was scarred that people might think he was gay, because of our association. You never know, what someones sexuality is, unless they are first, honest with themselves & as important, honest with you! Don't make a pass, unless you are sure the interest is reciprocal.

It really depends if you want people to feel comfortable asking these kinds of questions, or if you don't. I come from a generation, where the more we educated straights and dispelled these myths the better for everyone! There was no internet for Straights to go to, and a lot of them had nobody to ask that I wanted to be their source. It was me, or some fool idiot. I just smile and say, "no." I am not looking to be clever or make them uncomfortable , and I cannot afford to worry about being offended about stereotypes if I wanted to replace them with a multi-dimensional view of homosexuality. Now there are a lot more options so gays don't have to do all this work ourselves.

    • @roncaron8939
      @roncaron8939 Před 3 lety +4

@@BTURNER1961 I was lucky, i never had to come out. I thought all through middle and high school that i was straight but part of an exclusive club that it was perfectly fine to fool around with boys, in secret. I never thought that what i was doing with boys , was "gay!"
i had no role models, in person or in movies or TV. Every gay guy i could identify in the media, was depicted as the stereotypical, over the top and deliberately feminized, so it was obvious. those characters were placed in movies and TV as a joke. I never saw a soccer player or jock or pres. of the student counsel, that was even hinted about as being gay. I honestly thought i would eventually marry and have my 'gym buddies" on the side.
it wasn't until i went to university and dated girls and actually fell in love with my best friend and roommate,! We were inseparable. i really don't remember, if i seduced him or the other way around (drunk and stoned) We kissed and the fireworks went off. That never happened with any girl i'd ever been with! Gradually our friends figured it out and luckily it was no big deal.
I've found over the years, that when a guy, asks you a question like "are you attracted to me" that they have some kind of secret agenda and aren't being honest with me. Yes, there is also the guys with huge egos, who need the assurance that every man, woman, cat or dog should be in love with them.
Kids today who are gay, bi, in the closet or just curious, have it much easier then you and i did. Suddenly guy with questions about there sexuality, can see themselves on TV and in the movies. In well educated places on earth, it's parity normal and it's far easier to be a part of a mixed group(gay and straight) of friends! I'm so happy that gay is being normalized and in the main stream, rather then some sad sack kid who's family disowned them or as misfits.
Best Wishes and Stay Safe. Ron

Many gay guys of all shapes and sizes like guys of all shapes and sizes. Ugly normally is less about body type and more about how “handsome” you are but that is subjective anyway so yeah.. not everyone is going to find skinny guys attractive. Having a certain body type doesn’t automatically make you hot or not. Just saying.

Saw your first collab with Calvin and thought this one was the same one till I saw it. Always love your content! I believe that people need to be honest with themselves when it comes to their orientation because life is too short. Relationships are between two people and not for the worlds view of right/wrong, good/bad or whatever else you want to add here. Hope to see more of these as they are very informative. A couple years ago, I probably would have wanted to become straight, but now I wouldn't change my sexuality. I just graduated high school and came out in my yearbook quote: "I started high school with straight A's...now I'm not even straight! I'm still me, though!" The reactions that I have gotten are really sweet. Plus, my non-straightness allows me to empathize more with other people who are discriminated against/people whom society has prejudice towards, making me a more open-minded person

100% would be straight if I could. I know there are those that love to say otherwise but you can not deny that there is a part of you that just wished you weren’t. Being gay and knowing from an early age you miss out on so much that adolescences has to offer. I also think that’s why it’s so hard for so many gay guys to have a healthy stable relationship. Because so many of us didn’t get that chance to explore and learn and develop and eventually learn what love (not sex) is and how it feels.

Clearly you are great friends and so accepting of each other. Awesome to see!
Chris, as to your question to us viewers, I came to terms with my sexuality much later than I should have. So rather than wanting to be straight now, I wish I had acted on my same-sex desires at a much younger age. I feel I missed out on a great deal by not being true to myself.
It sounds crazy but most people knew I was gay before I did. I dated girls but it never felt natural and I was always putting up barriers. My first time with a guy felt natural and it was the first time I felt I could let my guard down and just be me. Don't live in denial. I did so out of fear of a lack of acceptance and feeling I needed to be someone I wasn't to make others happy.
I was unhappy for so long and now feel much better about myself and live life on my terms regardless of what others think.

I love you no matter what. If that's your choice I must accept it and I will be proud to call you my son. From that day on it was hard at times but we Are Who We Are and nothing can change that not even yourself. So if this world would love one another stop the hate all the bad comments except that person who they are they wouldn't be Suicidal Tendencies in anyone. That was hard, as was coming out to my family, coming out to coworkers, a dating pool that is so tiny (local, gay, single, bottoms), and having to take care of my lover with AIDS and then burying him. The good parts were gay pride parades, a community of understanding and welcoming men and women wherever I travel, a better sense of what being a minority is like, and not feeling as much pressure to have kids.

Coming out is that last hurdle, but I know you can get over it, and even if your family and friends don't take it well, don't feel like you have to change for them or anyone else, be YOU and ONLY YOU! They owe it TO YOU to be accepting and loving and understanding of your decision to come out, btw, we shouldn't even be calling it 'Coming Out' because we are actually LETTING PEOPLE IN when we come out, not the other way around, when we let people in, and you phrase it like that, it gives us the power and control of the situation. A Power Bottom is a bottom who can take it all day long. No matter how big, no matter how many, he joyfully and enthusiastically jams it in there. Go back to the 90s when this term first started to be used and this is the definition. Since then, the straight community has become so fascinated by it, coupled with the problem that they had no easy access to an authority on the topic, that they assumed incorrectly what it means. That definition has become so pervasive that most believe it’s true. What he just described is a Bossy Bottom, and we obviously already have a term for that.

In the long run though, no one should listen to anyone who is prejudice about the LGBTQ+ because who you love, what you wear, what you identify as, is no one else's business but yours and who you trust to know that information. It is not up to them what you should or shouldn't be doing, believing or how you act in YOUR life. Everyone is beautiful, be yourself because there is no one else who you should be.

I have both straight and gay friends. My straight friends, for the most part, lead very boring lives.
