I can't believe this is happening.
The cast was on a talk show a few weeks ago and they seemed so happy and excited. So many people loved that show. It makes no sense since there are so many crappy shows that get renewed.
I hope they get picked up by another network

It's to make way for the two NEW NCIS series coming: Origins (which is a prequel) and the Tony and Ziva series - they don't want more than 3 on at a time.

This makes no sense to me. I never really got into watching NCIS New Orleans. But NCIS & NCIS Hawaii are two shows that I look forward to watching every week. The storylines, the cast, the production and the background have been the best I've seen in years. And I've been watching the original since it started. Having a female lead on NCIS Hawaii was and is iconic. This is sad news.
It's because they are making room for the two new series coming: Origins, which is the prequel, and the Tony and Ziva series - they don't want more than 2 on CBS (the Ziva and Tony series is going to Paramount.)
@@jamesrawlins735 first of all, thank you for a response. I have watched the new NCIS that's based out of Australia. And I enjoyed it. I knew about the origins one for the character of Gibbs. I'm not mad at that because I miss that character and like Mark Harmon's acting. But I had no idea that there's a Ziva and Anthony series!!!! I hope you're not playing me right now? I literally gasped when they showed Tony on the episode where they paid tribute to Ducky. I'm low-key wondering if his character will be in the origins series and who will play him? But if what you're saying is true then I'm looking forward to next season. I still wish NCIS Hawaii wasn't canceled though. I'd grown to like each character.

The show as a NCIS show was not good. It was too concerned on people's love lives than the actual criminals. It might have been better as a show on its own for people who like a show like this, but I didn't and not surprised it was cancelled.
They cancel the best shows including this one! Meanwhile there are forgettable shows that last 10 seasons???🤦♂️

I'm gonna miss watching NCIS Hawaii it became my new favorite show but now that is ending or should I say getting cancelled, I um ahhh,I don't even know what to say . (Sighs) you know what since I'm going to miss this show. I'm going to binge watch it yeah that's what I'm going to do. NCIS Hawaii aloha.

Vanessa did a wonderful job of making this tv series for hawaii's, she made Hawaii a very special place. I hated to see cancellations repeat like Hawaii-50, Magnum P.I. and now NCIS:Hawaii. The problem is when I see 2 other actresses did "lust and kisses" that means ppl decided not to watch in front of their kids. I dunno but I mean didn't look good on the show. We need a better screenwriter for every story in episode. Now let's just move on and see whats next for the Hawaii tv show.

To mamy episodes on the Lucy & Kate show. Then trying to make it manly ny bringing a thug like Sam to make it more manly. Sounds like a Bud Light attempt to me.

We loved watching NCIS Hawaii. Great cast & storyline’s not to mention scenery. Hawaii is so beautiful. I can’t believe it has been cancelled. The show showed a working mum in a pressure job but also her family side. It’s such a shame this is a great show very sad it has been cancelled!!!😢

CBS making the biggest mistake ever NCIS Hawaii is probably one of the best NCIS spin-off they've made including NCIS because that was a spin-off from JAG show some other American company better pick it up
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! This is not okay! How do we stop this? Where can I sign a petition? This was my favorite installment of the franchise. It's so well written and I adore the characters. All my friends have been talking about how they will develop. It showed that a mostly female cast could carry this kind of show. I don't want to wait to see a character like S.A. Tennant. Please say it's not so. What's wrong with these TV execs? Don't you care what your audience wants?

It's very expensive to shoot in Hawaii. Current inflation and rising costs coupled with sub par ratings did not justify the show to be renewed, despite what the cast and crew felt. They could have switched filming locations to save on costs and utilized stock footage of Hawaii as way of continuing the show. A lot of tv shows and movies are doing that today in order to save on costs of production. Canada, South Africa and Hungary are becoming ideal location shoots due to there cheap production costs.

Technically NCIS franchise started in 1995 with JAG and what was simply supposed to be a supposed to be a simple spin off grew into so much more than JAG could have ever been

Really??? I watched the first 15 min of the first episode and that was enough to know it was rubbish. How it got renewed in the first place is the mystery.
I agree. The pilot was one of the worst episodes of TV I have ever seen. But the quality of the shows and likability of the characters made the show one of my favorites...sad to see it go.

NCIS Hawaii was a failure from the start, tried a number of times to watch from the beginning and individual episodes. Forced myself to watch one episode to the end, and after said to myself this show will not last long. If the network had to do over again it would have been cancelled last season.

Sooo happy they cancelled this show. Was very easy to predict this. It was decent UNTIL they spent way to many episodes on the Lucy & Kate show just to get the attention of a small group of watchers. That's when it went off the tracks. Then sadly try to get viewers back by bringing a thug Sam on, to make it more manly. Exactly what Bud Light tried to do, BUT also failed. Good for them

Ncis Hawaii is one of the best shows on right now. Ncis Los Angeles should have never been canceled. Now Hawaii they will cancel good shows but crappy shows get 8 to 10 season. This show should keep going just like the original.
