- The Beatles Performing at the Cavern Club in 1962, the oldest video recording of the most influential band ever. The Ai upscale that I created allows for a much clearer view of the band, while also increasing the frames from 30 to 60 frames, which makes the whole scene feel much more fluid. #thebeatles #cavernclub #ai #artificialintelligence #paulmccartney #johnlennon #georgeharrison #ringostarr #beatles #music #classicrock
It blows my mind that this cover was recorded just four years before Tommorow Never Knows, Eleanor Rigby, Love You To, For No One, She Said She Said, Rain, etc. What amazing growth in their songwriting!
Gracias....les quedó extraordinario ésta joya de Documento .....!!!!.... ahí se puede apreciar lo bueno que ya eran ....y con la energía que que ejecutaban sus instrumentos.....por algo fueron , son y serán los más grandes.....!!! 🎼🎵🎵🎵🎵🪕🎸🎹🎤
They didn’t write Some Other Guy
@@salvadorvaughan4117yeah. That’s why he wrote ‘this cover’
I agree 100%! No other time in music history can we see such a rapid growth in music except maybe the late 80s to early 90s with the grunge music movement.
this is a cover
Imagine the passion Paul and Ringo have for their craft to still be going over 60 years later. That kind of passion is like lightning in a bottle.
It’s weird because the Beatles quit touring in 1966. After they broke up in 1970, McCartney went back to touring and he still does it, over 50 years later!
The effect of the Beatles is a big one, they cast a really long shaddow. The world never forgets who the first ones were, and still are.
@@LazyLizzy706Paul was the last one to agree they stop touring, and it makes sense that time, it also pushed the industry to innovate faster as far are sound system goes for large venues.
I don't think that was Ringo on drums here. Maybe it was Pete Best. Whoever it was he was pretty good.
@@Qrayon that's true. That's what I had thought too.
Probably one of their last performances in front of a crowd this small. You did a great job with restoration. 👍👍👍
Don't forget the rooftop haha
I agree 110% !!!
Also the night before JOhn's first wedding. :)
wow really?@@loosilu
@@jj-if6it Yes!
I always loved this performance. Fantastic energy. It is unfortunate that they never recorded this song on the studio with George Martin.
I could have been in the audience! I saw them here in 1962!
We're all jealous 😁
before or after august?
@@rowanmccarthy Hi, you are really testing my old brain cells, but I remember being caught up in the October Cuban missile crisis after sailing from Liverpool, so it must have been after August.
These guys have a great vocal blend, groove and a fantastic beat... I definitely think they are going places!
Beatles, these lads Beatmor
Lol....ya think?....too funny😅
and you can dance to it...
Ringo ruled. A dynamic drummer. Paul gives him a look at :22, but Ringo is all over it. And Paul is appreciative.
Actually Ringo had only been with the band for 6 days, when that recording was made. It might even have been his first gig, so Paul and Ringo had not had much time together to get in sync on this one.
@@freebeing0858 It's his first gig. People in the audience were yelling for Pete
Not Ringo. Look again. Doesn’t play or look like him. Looks like Pete Best, who’s significantly better-looking than Ringo. But let’s hear about dates from 60 years ago.
@@richsackett3423hard to tell because it was upscaled with ai so a lot of the video is distorted.
But what gives it away as Ringo is the nose and the hair. Pete never changed his hair to fit in
@@rivers118 Does he play drums like Ringo? Not even a little bit. Do you play any musical instrument? I suspect the same.
I wonder if Paul and Ringo ever saw this, they would remember this like it was yesterday (no pun intended)
Even at this early Age, Paul always never looked at his fretboard while playing and singing.
A natural.
@@3155DOGMANA natural hard worker.

I remember seeing this very grainy B/W footage in the 80s !!….. so impressed with today’s technology and bringing this clip back to life!!
This band seems decent, they seem like they have a lot of potential
Just a bit! Could possibly have some success. 😊
Superb restoration.
Potential? The Decca A&R guy didn't think so. Haven't seen him lately...
Next project, from elsewhere in the same master, someone could do a deepfake to pull the drummer(Pete?) out of the shadow(which I've been crying for)
Meh, I think the Beach Boys are better. Surfin' Safari is really on the cutting edge.
Indeed. I hope they won't waste it all on drugs like LSD and Marihuana. 😂
Guitar groups are on their way out.
I feel so wonder rooftop performance and get back sessions are only 7 years after this Cavern live. Their
change and growth is so amazing!
Hey Everyone,
Thanks for watching this video! In case you didn't know, there is a Full Screen Version for this video in my channel and the colorization was taken from Carter's Remasters on youtube. The Ai upscale and frame rate boost was done by me.
Thanks,
Josephm

Привет, я думаю, что Битлз надо слушать в моно и видеть чёрно- белыми.
Не пойму, почему соло гитарист сзади баса. Посему?
Excellent job 👏
Loved it. Thanks!
@@user-fl2ne6gt6y Absolutely not!!! Just like with the recent "Get Back" film, it's GREAT to see this amazing footage of The Beatles as if we were watching it now, in the present day!!!👍👍👍👍👍
Man I wish I could have been a part of this , seeing these guys play back in the day must have been electrifying ! ⚡
It WAS ‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️
I've been listening to this since my first bootleg bought in 1982 - which the band members had to drive 40 miles to buy from a record store in NYC - and as time goes on and tech improves, I'm blown away by the clarity. It won't be long until all the tracks from this and the 1962 Star Club tapes can be separated and remixed and released, and sound just asgood as any commercially released Beatles record. FABS4EVER! Great post.
I've never seen such a characteristic band like this these days. They got their band sound without any effect. They stood on the cheap stage to play each instrument just the way they wanted to and still give us something special. Incredible!
such a "characteristic" band..or charismatic?
One of my favorite live performances by The Lads ...
You can hear them singing and playing...AWRSOME VIBE AND ENERGY IN THIS VIDEO.
ALWAYS MY FAVORITE.
The clearest video I've ever seen of The Beatles playing the Cavern Club.
That...was...AMAZING! And at 46 I've never really enjoyed their way early stuff but...I think my mind is changing...
What a punch ,what a stage presence since the beginning. These guys were born to be stars. From a cavern to a rooftop.
They needed a better drummer first.
AMAZING! To actually see the Beatles perform in color at the Cavern.... and an original song that never made it to one of their albums....man oh man... what a joyful gift!!! 😊
This song is on the “Live At The BBC” CD. But yeah, it’s not on any of their regular albums.
Jerry Leiber, Mike Stoller and Richie Barrett wrote the song, was a new hit at the time of this Beatles performance. Also, in this video, Ringo had been in the band under a week!
@@kaymuldoon3575 No but to SEE such a legendary video at this quality!!!😃😃😃😃.....
@@colinluckens9591the video quality is horrible, blotchy and their faces are blurred and distorted
and why is it vertical cell phone format? 16mm movie cameras did not have this format, and their resolution was above 4k HD
Just bloody fab! The Beatles 'rocking out' live!
In '62, McCartney was 20 years old, and George was only 19. So fun to see the lads with all that young spit and vinegar!
Yeah George looks so young here!♥️....
Lennon's voice was simply iconic and overwhelming. Even in these early days he dominted so many songs. With the rest of the band bringing their own unique talent there was just no stopping them.
Lennon was the best singer in the group.
@@guitarttimmanwrong
@@guitarttimmanno he wasnt 😂😂😂 paul was the better singer by far miles more range, lennon was vastly overrated even his solo stuff was average compared to pauls
I think Paul’s microphone was off or improperly configured here

Comparing to the original black and white, you have made a very good job!
Thanks!! This is a great service to all of us Beatles fans. Much appreciated.
Excellent done, very good work. Thanks. And one of my favorite early Beatles songs. They are so full of energy here.
Just think a couple more years they'd be writing songs like..Tomorrow Never Knows, Strawberry Fields, Yesterday, Within Without You, A Day in The Life.
pertty good video! amazing the beatles were just starting out like this in a bar club , they had so much talent , thanks again!
Glad you enjoyed it
by the time Ritchie joined in August of 62, they had dozens & dozens of shows under their belts. even if you only count Hamburg.
by 62 John Paul and George had been playing together for 4 years
The power is incredible!
すごい!!
当時の熱気が伝わります!
Tnx to the up loader especially to the person who took this video or camera or what they call it during that time, amazing!
This was filmed by Grenada TV for a segment on what was becoming known as the Merseyside sound. So it was shot by professionals with lights and sound, etc. If it had been captured by someone in the back row with a silent Super-8 home movie camera, it would have been much darker, jerkier and of course, silent.
This is almost as catchy as Goosestep Mamma by the Rutles.
(Edited for excessive Tea).
But it's not a patch on "Do you want to know a Sea Scout" or "Norwegians Would"...
Just one 'T' mate....
@@ScottyColoradoKid OOPS!
I have the T shirt…KEEP CALM AND BARRY WOM.. 😂
I have always thought, in the back of my mind, cheese and onions.
This is brilliant - best ever footage, real or manipulated, I've ever seen.
Love the Lennon Bounce.
Some lyric corrections 'Some other guy now - just threw water on my fire' and 'Some other guy now, is breaking the padlock off my pad'. Cool lyrics, worth sharing :)
Great job Joseph, thanks for this. 👍
Nothing but greatness
That was one of the best shows I ever went to at the Cavern Club. :3
You are gifted! Great great work. Thank you!
Look at em go! All four of them were super fluent with their guitars and drums. No wonder they're still ruling the world as the greatest band ever.👑👑👑👑
Very excellent! There is no other way of putting it!
No, this video sucks. There is no other way to put it. They cut George out of the picture.
what a treasure 💎💎💎
Los Únicos ❤lLos Mejores...The Beatles 🎉❤😃😊
Good work! It really looks good, and a bit like some time-traveler went back to 1962 and recorded it on a really good cellphone.
Thank you very much for your effort! This was what I was waiting for a very long time.
Thanks for the post. The Beatles were my coming-of-age band. Something a bit supernatural about the chemistry, talent, management, Stu Sutcliffe's Mod costuming influence that made a pop-icon convergence that has been rarely matched. Maybe Elvis, MJ, and Sinatra...but to different generations.
Que hermosos!!!❤
I wonder why they never released a cover of this on one of their first albums - I’ve always loved this track and performance!
I never realized Harrison’s early gretsch had dynasonics. I always assumed it was Filtertrons.
Thank you for taking the time to reconstruct this bit of history for us... this totally made me smile. I'm subscribing in case there are more smiles to come. :)
Thanks for watching! Welcome aboard!

Awesome!! Great restoration collaboration and you could definitely see all the talent that was there, and was already on the precipice of early greatness and stardom… they certainly already knew how to get a crowd going and the Fab 3 (I’m not counting Pete Best) already had their onstage personas and personalities down to a T!! 🎼🎤🎸🎸🎸🥁
Nothing will ever become of them.
Glad somebody had the thought to record this with their iphone
Very cool film!!! I never knew a complete version of that live performance existed. It’s cool to see and hear it with such detail.
You can see Ringo hadn’t gotten his first Ludwig kit yet. He’s playing the ugly red/black swirl Premier kit.
Thanks for sharing this historical film.
Ringo wanted a new Swingerline drum kit, but they didnt come in black
so he got a Ludwig kit instead
after they were on Ed Sulivan Ludwig drums sales increased by 30,000 kits per year
because ringo wanted black drums !
If this band stick with it and write a few songs about love they might just make it. Maybe grow the hair a bit more and shake it to the music to impress the girls.
italian boots and suits might help too
This is the best use for this
Wow! Now this is really rare stuff. Thanks for posting.
Did this clip come from the 1982 documentary "The Compleat Beatles"? A must-see two hour documentary for any hard core Beatles fan. It was originally available only on Betamax tape and Laserdisc but I remember seeing a VHS tape of it in the 90s. Even though it's more than 40 years old it's too important to fade away to obscurity.
I have that full documentary on a dvd ...
Brilliant. Thanks.
Sounds and looks good.
It slipped my mind, but I guess I was wrong. Paul's singing in Paul McCartney and the Wings was unmatched. That was one of my favorite bands. 😁👍
One of my favorite songs by my all time favorite band
AMAZING !!!

Little did they know----------------------the good and the bad that was headed their way. Incredible.
Crazy they were filmed in portrait mode in 1962 - way ahead of their time! ;)

Always amazing. They were always so ahead of their time! No one will ever match them.
That bounce! Four kids jumping on the bed, about to rock the world.
Is it possible to make this in landscape format 4:3 as per the original format rather than cropped portrait?
Hi Squid,
I went ahead and reformatted the video to fit in a horizontal aspect ratio 4:3 and it's being uploaded to the channel! Thank you for the idea!

This video its stolen from Carter remasters.
@@theurbanspaceman420 credit is in the video
@@theurbanspaceman420 So you are saying Carter owns the original footage?
He doesn't own the footage, but he colorized it. It is common curtsey, and professional to not upload somebody else colorization. @@LaughingStock_
This aspect ratio almost makes this look like someone was filming this for their Instagram story. Love it!
POV footage this old is so rare. So cool!
They were so tight live, it kind of gets forgotten because once Beatlemania kicked in, nobody could hear anything but those years in Hamburg and the Cavern made them such a well oiled machine.
No one present imagined that they were seeing the birth of the best band in all of history.
by 1962 they were already the most popular club band in England

Wow this is great,♥️
Pete Best. Perfect in-tune and in-color here. A magic mushroom German brothel John Lennon story. " Helga said: "As long as I can feel all right...etc." (Just my theory.)
No, this was Ringo. Look at the hair and movement in the shoulders. And, at 1:59, look at the nose. Ringo, alrite.
Man, these guys were TIGHT, and the vocals so perfect sounds like a studio version.
Very interesting! 👍
Amazing job! Thanks!

Paul pretty much the whole song never once looks at his hand to find the chord, compared to today for some reason the same dude actually does keep looking at his hand to find the chord. How interesting. LOve and miss the old Paul
