Thank you for these! I'm not a dancer, but I practice martial arts (taekwondo and kicboxing) and strong feet and ankles are very important for us too, since we pivot a lot during kicks. These are absolutely wonderful and I've started doing them daily!

This video with the voice over was great I liked that I could see your feet up close at different angles. This made each excerise clear so I could accomplish each accurately. Also as a novice ballet dancer it would also help to see a video and real time. Having both options for videos would be great, this way I could see the entire body throughout each excerise. Thank you very much for this video.

This is a great video for feet because its up close. You can see each move closely. You also state how many repetitions a person should do. However, I believe a workout video type format would be more beneficial, especially since they are not that common. :)

Hiya, firstly I’d like to say thank you for the exercises and tips - and I would prefer a real time video over a voiceover.
Second of all, I would love your advice on something. I am a dancer and love dancing so much, I am 15 and am currently doing my interfoundation course. However, I am not at all flexible and although I have started pointe, my feet are not strong enough to stay up for long enough, and my arch is not high enough to go fully up.
I would love to one day become a professional dancer, but as many local dance schools are far too expensive, I was wondering if you had any more at-home tips that could help me progress further.
    Thank you so much,
    Ella, 15, UK

Hi Katie! I really love your videos and how they've helped me so much as someone who stopped ballet for two years and am suddenly placed in a higher level simply because of experience. Although my classmates have been there for about 2 years and me, only 6 months, your videos help me improve a lot and it seems that when I'm next to my classmates it's like I never even stopped ballet. I'm about to go en pointe really really soon and I need your opinion, should I buy the normal Gaynor Minden elastics or the invisible ones? Or do they actually make a difference? Please and thank you. I look up to you so much!!

Thank you so much for these exercises; they are very helpful!! I want to share with you one of my favourite tips: use the Dolphin Infrared Massager or any massager you may have. Give a soft massage over the Aquilles tendon and your ankles. You will see how that zone gets stretched and relaxed. Your feet will thank you a lot!
P.S: I really appreciate your videos because I started this year to dance ballet at the age of 25! and I have flexible flat feet. As far as I work hard on strengthening my feet, I will be fine.

Kathryn I have a question I just got on pointe and it’s only when I get on pointe when it hurts in the back of my ankle. So I googled pain in the back of the ankle and posterior ankle impingement came up. Right away I knew it was posterior ankle impingement. What should I do though to take away the pain? Should I get an X-ray Will these exercises help me or will they help it go away? I know this is for strengthening but I wonder if you could help me

I love your videos Kathryn, thank you so much for sharing your insight and experience and making it accessible! I really love when you do the exercises with us in real time, but both options you're doing are fantastic! Thank you again! :)

Hi Kathryn, I am an older competitive adult figure skater. I am adding some ballet to improve my on ice performance. I have a high arch and I find that sometimes when I point my foot to stretch, it cramps up in the arch. Any suggestions as to the cause and how to prevent cramping? Thanks! I enjoyed your new video and the music was perfect!

Thanks, this is great, I've learnt a few more exercises that I haven't seen before. I'd find it helpful to have a list of the exercises that I could have beside me (perhaps a pdf, or a part of your blog that can be printed off ?), with a photo & brief description of each exercise as a reminder.

Could you do a video for girls who aren't on pointe yet? That would be so helpful.
