KRISS 2024 Vector GEN 3 Rifles and Pistols - SHOT Show 2024
Chesapeake, Virginia, USA - January 24, 2024 - KRISS USA proudly announces the launch of its latest innovative product lineup - the KRISS Vector Generation 3. This cutting-edge firearm is set to make its debut at the Shooting, Hunting, and Outdoor Trade Show in Las Vegas, Nevada, taking place from January 23-26.
The KRISS Vector GEN 3 exemplifies the brand’s dedication to elevating user experience and versatility through meticulous design and rigorous testing. Notable features encompass a redesigned upper housing that can now accommodate aftermarket pistol grips, showcasing a slimmer profile compared to its predecessor. The GEN 3 platform includes a picatinny rail stock mount, enhanced by a picatinny mount folding hinge, offering users unparalleled customizability. Furthermore, the upper housing’s top picatinny rail is now securely bolted on, simplifying maintenance for users.
The lower housing undergoes substantial enhancements, featuring a new ambidextrous magazine release, distinctive side textures on the mag well for enhanced grip, and altered side profiles for increased hand support. A new M-LOK mounting system replaces the lower housing’s lower picatinny rail, offering improved versatility. The handguard is designed for effortless removal, enabling users to mount barrel shrouds or extended handguards of varying lengths.

I wouldn't be *too* disappoointed. I have a Gen 2 CRB and there are things about this that I like and don't like. Plus this has no release date, dedicated accessories, 3rd party support, etc.

This looks way better and smaller than Gen 2

It seems slightly smaller, and I like the new stock configuration, but not sure the changes are all that significant. Not a fan of the new safety location.

Personally I like the AR buffer tube on my CRB. I've never had a problem with the grip designed by *Magpul* and have the maximum amount of Magpul products on my Vector. Probably look into getting one of these Gen 3s as an SBR.

The trigger is what i like to know more of. I have a Gen 2 in 10mm and 9mm and love em. But there is nothing really net new here for me what to go buy a 3rd. 👍👍🇺🇸

if you could convert one to fire automatically, which would you choose?

They updated the trigger slop, but did they change the trigger pull weight and smoothness? The rear pic is nice, but the pistol version is 5.5" and the enhanced is 6.5" on the Gen 2- Will they have an enhanced version for the Gen 3 or stuck with 5.5"? The threaded 16" barrel is just ridiculous, whether is for a flash hider or muzzle brake, since theres no recoil, whats the point? Then to thread on a silencer on top of already having 16" making it at a min 21" with a 5" can, thats just absurd. I like the other updates to address the mag release and bolt catch. If the trigger is better, are the trigger paks from the gen 3 swappable in the gen 2...

They really need to put the bolt release near the trigger like a b&t apc, g36, cz bren, etc. That way the controls can be more ambi.

Is the upper able to be mounted to the 2nd gen lower?

Hopefully they produce more numbers so it's not so difficult to get. I have a GEN 2.1 but couldn't find any in stock for over a year when I got mine a couple years ago. I like how the shroud is mounted to the receiver instead of the barrel. Also the integrated Mloks on the shroud is nice and looks good too. I'm not a huge fan of those sharp edges on the GEN3. Not liking that angular step in front of the trigger area. The style overall looks good though.

YOU JUST GOT ONE NIB?!? YOU MUST BE THE FIRST PERSON EVER TO BE ABLE TO AFFORD A GUN NIB, THAT MUST HAVE COST A GAZILLON DOLLARS!! MAN YOU MUST BE REALLY RICH! YOU'RE SO COOL! JK it sounds like a personal problem you bought what is now an old gen because you're brain dead and impatient. If it makes you feel any better I will get one on release day and will be enjoying a MUCH nicer looking and functioning vector that has a MUCH nicer trigger. Enjoy that thought!🤣🤣🤣🤣
