THIS was THE mall to go to when we lived in NE OH in the 80s and 90s. Wasnt this one of the Debartolo malls? Few prob know this but in the 1980s, there was a themed restaurant on the 2nd floor above the food court called Gadgets with Warner Bros characters. It was amazing, animatronic characters, arcade, good food, the whole deal. There were only a couple locations in the entire country. It had two elevators, including one glass elevator which faced the South side of the mall. So so many different stores back then. Going here was like going to Disney World for us kids lol. Although I've lived in multiple other states since growing up in OH, I will never forget the sweet times we had at Eastwood. Thanks for the memories man.

I don’t really remember Gadgets. I would have been about 5. I’m sure they would have taken me there though. I remember the arcade by the front entrance the most. That’s where I would go while my mom shopped.

@Wickedshrapnel it was like Chuck E Cheese but better. Loved going to Niles. My parents were there the day the F5 tornado came near the mall

@@gooberstankable I remember that day. We were coming back home and they had a road block on 46 off the exit of I-80 and wouldn't let us go towards Niles. My mom, dad and me. We thought the rest of our family was wiped out. Everyone was fine though. Scary day.

in the 90s that mall used to be amazing. Khahuna ville upstairs, the merry go round, pet store, disney store. It's just a shell of it's former self.

I agree. I never go to them in Texas. Amazon and other online retailers have better prices and ship right to my door.

Nope. Not happening anytime soon. There are just less of them. Many are outlet or outside based now, but still are malls. There are over 100K malls still in the US. Google is your friend.
