- The Wire isn’t exactly a love letter to Baltimore, but you can’t deny the Charm City gives the show its personality and energy. David Simon joins The Wire at 20 to describe how the politics of filming in Baltimore changed over time. Andre Royo and JD Williams recall the day-to-day excitement and challenges of filming on the city’s streets. And Method Man engages in a dynamic conversation with one cast member who was B-more to the core: Felicia “Snoop” Pearson.

"How my hair look, Mike?" Love Snoop!
"You look good girl"... 🤯🔫
@@roaddawg3217 best/worse part of the show
one of the most amazing scenes
the only time snoop allowed herself to be vulnerable was when she knew she was going to die
Nothing can replace The Wire.
And nothing ever will🙏🏿
Snoop was definitely one of my favorite characters on the show.
Snoop the realest character on the realest show.
Disagree my opinion it was definitely Michael.. not because he actually killed snoop but his origin story, his intelligence, and how he protected his family and friends.. snoop was a bona-fide solider no doubt but Michael had a boss mindset
I don't know a lot of street people like Michael. I know they exist. But Snoop represents the common traits of folks I've been around on the streets of Chiraq. That to me is more real than the acting. All the time, I got the feeling Felicia was being herself.
I love Snoop!!!! She was so perfectly cast, partly because she was really about that life before getting cast
Nah
The best scene from The Wire is Snoop in the Hardware store.
That was the first scene i saw :) right after it i was hooked. Finished watching se 4 ep 1 and straight after it sterted from the beginning cause i knew that this thing is special
I love that scene. I had to put on my closed caption so I could understand what she was saying. I was fan from then on!
Word...I love the scene where Marlo is on the phone while they're having target practice. Snupe can SHOOT!!
Such a great scene!
My favorite Snoop line “what the F**k he dew to yew?”
😂
I miss Michael K Williams, prayers up.
🙏
If only he would be alive to be interview by Method Man.
He was brilliant, wasn't he?
@@blackanonymous7215 Omar was my favorite character when I watches this show. From start to finish I was completely invested in his plot line and arcs. MKW did that character justice and so much more
Still can't believe he isn't here in the physical realm.
I can't decide what was the best season of the wire it rotates between season 3 and 4. Loved the Barkdale reign but when Marlo crew showed up it pumped new life into the show.
I just finished watching this series for the first time (new HBO subscriber).
Great show, especially season 3 was absolutely amazing.
On repeated viewings you will find your favorite season switches. My 1st time through I thought season 2 was a letdown. After watching 4x now, season 2 is one of my favorites.
Wait until you watch it for the second or third time. That's when you start catching the small details that really make this show great and stand the test of time. I'm talking about the detail in the relationships that make every character seem like a real person. Also the fact that there are details in every single scene that prove to be important later...sometimes seasons later. IMHO it's the best drama in history.
the more you rewatch it the more you love it. When you realize the city is a character is when you really dive in and appreciate it more.
@@ra2186 💯💯💯
i want to give snoop a hug and tell her that she is loved
In real life, OK. Character on the street, she needed two well placed bullets.
Awesome interview. Snoop is the most unique character in television history.
Snoop or Omar
@@Cappadonna72 Fair enough, that is a tough call. They are both incredibly different and unique from the usual stuff in TV or movies. Just more evidence to how groundbreaking the show was.
most unique because she's the most authentic
No
Oh ok, i see yall givin the people what they want. Modern day "the wire" podcast?! 🔥
wait till people find out this is a thing and actually exists!
Hearing her voice made me tear up tbh it brought me back to my childhood
Miss the wire
I always wondered in the "nail gun scene" who the actor that played the store worker was. Everybody always talks about Snoop in that scene(for good reason) but the guy did a wonderful job in that scene as well. I'm starting to think it may have been a real employee and they just told him to ignore the cameras and do his job!! lol
That man didn’t stand out and he was definitely an actor.
This podcast is so underrated, this show was a masterpiece
This is an excellent interview
"We had bout 5 jobs last month" - snoop
"You owe me $800 for dat, bih. You wild."
I still use "deserve got nothing to do with it, man" to this day, since hearing Snoop say it on The Wire.
Clint Eastwood used that line in Unforgiven, right before he shot someone.
The nail gun scene stuck because almost every time I would go into Lowe's, I would look for that specific model.
32:06 is the essence of the show
I swear, if I saw Snoop today on the street, I would be afraid. LOL
B-more Stand Up✊🏿
Her laugh is infectious 😂..love snoop salute The Wire
Nah
The way I enjoyed this episode, they could’ve charged to for watching 😂😂😂❤❤❤
Snoop autobiography book is great as well Grace After Midnight
Why don't we have visuals with these interviews??
That’s what I’m sayin
These must’ve been a while ago, before an image was almost necessary for a podcast.
@@mobbdeep2dagroup That's just how HBO does it
This is gold
that show was more progressive than most Netflix shows without being on the nose but just focusing on reality ...
I never skip the nail gun scene intro she merc'd that piece!😂😂😂
This podcast was a great idea
I said “to” funny for a month after my binge. Lol
Snoop was a gangsta💯
avon was my favorite
@@vipset87 💯
Awesome
NYPD is so foul arresting Snoop in my home borough The BX 🤦🏿🤦🏿🤦🏿🤦🏿
Dope
20!!!!! Was I meant to be watching this show???
YEEEEERRRRR
How my hair look mike…….. it look good girl 🔥 🔥 🔥
I don't know who's accent I'm more thrown by, Dominic's or Idris'.
I love Baltimore & just outside it. But everyone I know from anywhere else in country is scared of Baltimore because they think all of Bmore is what’s shown in Wire.
Method Man sounds exactly like McNulty in this video 🤔
Martin o Malley was right Baltimore a beautiful city show the good too
Why don't you write it? Nothing is ever just good or bad. There is a bunch of grey areas and layers. There was good, bad and neutral shown on The Wire. If you only show one aspect, you're not telling the whole truth. Too many want to be lied to. Enough of that.
@@KtotheG Preach!
That gotta be a different show. This was a gritty street drama. No time for that here.
"You gotta ' keep the Devil down in his Hole" ........
Was Method Man really necessary?
He was on it
